Amazing day out, great atmosphere and everyone is out to have a good time. The food they served in the restaurant was lovely and all of the staff were friendly. Lots of races throughout the day to keep you entertained and great weather on the day we went.
Buy your tickets early, they get more expensive as time goes on. Well organised parking. Dogs are allowed on certain days
Boxing Day - a great day out, it is busy but not to busy you can’t move. Only thing that let it down was the bar staff, not just in one bar but a couple of bars we visited, was like they had never worked behind a bar before, asking for well known drinks and their reaction seemed to look lost in what we had just asked them, seemed chatting was more the priority rather than serving and getting the drinks out. As a race course you could be loosing money on big/busy days and in the end we didn’t want the hassle of waiting time so we didn’t go back - we used the independent bar located outside and got drinks within a few minutes. I wasn’t the only person to feel this frustration regarding the staff and waiting times.
Always enjoy going to the races at Wincanton. Great food with pleasant helpful staff. Unfortunately, several of the punters spoilt the day in the Owners and Trainers lounge by hogging the tables when other owners were trying to find somewhere to eat. We ended up balancing our dinner plates hanging precariously on the window ledge because of their selfishness. It would be nice if Wincanton could address this issue in future by placing notices around the dining tables and hall to ensure that the tables are prioritized for eating.
A fabulous afternoon spent here for our anniversary. Everyone we met couldn't do enough to make the experience first class. The staff in the restaurant were so pleasant and helpful. The meal was a pure delight.
Lovely racecourse, very friendly staff, good facilities with great hospitality packages - very much a country feel. Would highly recommend a day out at the Wincanton races.
Boxing fun at the races. Kids enjoyed the experience and won enough that paid for the day and then some.
Very windy but they did a great job repairing storm damage to the fences to allow racing to go ahead. Friendly helpful staff, enjoyable day.
Great atmosphere, excellent racing. Facilities good with Premier tickets, no wait to order from the bar and the tote was also speedy.
First visit to this racecourse on a wet January Saturday. Parking well organized plenty of marshalls, quick scan of tickets and Covid status. We had gone to see our horse racing so were treated very well as owners. Not a big crowd because of the weather but everyone seemed to enjoy the day. Our horse came 3rd!!
