Wiltshire CCG is all working from home for the forseeable future, just a receptionist on the phone! Impossible to speak to someone about an urgent issue. How they think this is a satisfactory way of providing a service is beyond me.
The phrase "cut out the middle man" surely applies to this organisation. They serve no purpose whatsoever unless it's to boost the share price of BT by keeping you on hold for 30 mins+. The literature is misleading - it states to "phone this number to Book An Appointment" - this is completely wrong! Procedure is: GP surgery contacts them, they then write to you, you then phone them quoting booking ref and password, they then at some point contact hospital/clinic etc of your choice , you then wait for hospital/clinic of choice to contact you! WCCG have no prior knowledge of any hospital/clinic waiting list times so it's not even as if they could get you fixed up wherever would be soonest - who wouldnt be prepared to travel for a speedy appt!?!. Surely GP/receptionist could send a booking ref DIRECT to hospital/clinic of choice for them to contact patient or vice versa - simples! As a taxpayer I am interested to find out via Freedom Of Information Act exactly how much such an irrelevant body costs per annum.
I spent over 20 mins on hold to make appointment for an active ECG . A further 5mins on hold while operator put me up on system Only to be given a choice to which hospital I would like to attend for this ECG Having made this choice then to be told that hospital of choice would now get in touch with my GP After which I would be contacted by said hospital to make that appointment For the life of me I can not see where your part in this it justified another than making money off the phone calls that being put on hold for that length of time can generate
Dreadful experience, hostile questioning and happy to walk away with people in tears. I cannot believe the NHS has stooped so low. I will raise a complaint but I doubt anyone will care. The review of continuing care was a farce, they already had decided on the outcome before executing the charade of a review. Disgusted! Had to give a star but real score would be -5.
Highly unethical organization that typically denies life-saving immunotherapies to the vulnerable patients that most need it, because of cost. What price can you put on a life?
Tried speaking someone and all I get is nobody available. All I want is to speak to someone about getting some advice.
Lovely friendly team, will do anything for anybody
