Where to start what an absolute amazing turnaround the new team have achieved, Helen and Alison along with the team cannot be praised enough for their hard work dedication- I’ve been a local chap for 30 years, this local pub is back with a bang - the hospitality is amazing, great beer and real ales at prices everyone can afford in these difficult times - The entertainment is fantastic during the weekend- Dog friendly is a must for me, does the pub tick this box , like everything else it’s a yes - As for the new pizza menu, I had one last night, and wow , another box ticked amazingly good grub, I feel whatever comes next will be delivered with a 110% from the team, and can’t wait - Well done your credit is deserved, not only that THANK-YOU

My partner and I called in for food about a week or so ago and were quite disappointed by the food we got. I had ordered a double vegan burger with Mac and cheese as a topping, and my partner had ordered a double cheese burger. A few minutes after ordering, we were approached by the chef who had said that they couldn’t find any of the vegan burgers, but offered to make me something with the veggie sausages and nuggets that they had. I was fine with this, however when the food came I definitely didn’t expect what I got. It was some very dry veggie sausages and veggie nuggets in a burger bun with nachos. The Mac and cheese topping had also ended up on my partners burger! No salad or anything, and it was very dry. Reminded me of my uni meals haha. The chips were nice though and arrived piping hot. My partners burger looked much better though and he enjoyed it. Customer service was pleasant and the staff with very friendly though which made the trip here nicer despite the poor food on my side. While I don’t think we’ll be returning, we’ll definitely be looking back at this experience with a smile!
I haven't eaten there but the staff are brilliant. Drinks too. Live bands are great so get along there for a good music night

Place is good with friendly and polite staff. Ended up going there on Tuesday night with friends for pub quiz. Great atmosphere might become a weekly thing for us.
The beers, the pizzas, the staff and the locals are all absolutely superb, highly recommended
Such a nice place, own parking, lovely food, great staff and fantastic entertainment by The Monkeymen when we visited......
