Wow, outstanding. Had a Fish Chips MushyPeas Curry and a can of pop. £10.10. It's not something I could afford every day but delicious. A big fresh tasty fish surrounded in dead crispy batter, chips were perfect, curry was that traditional flavour with a good consistency, peas were spot on, and all the flavours made up to a great combo. I was here a couple of years ago and they were outstanding then as well, consistency. Recommended
The VERY best chippy I have ever been too. The food is always top quality, freshly prepared and competitively priced. The staff are amazing and always smiling no matter how busy they are. The business is constantly evolving adding great new lines to its menu that are just delicious. My only complaint is that I can never choose what to have as its all so good. Just moved to the area and fancied a Friday night chippy tea. This is just around the corner from us. Lovely staff and great fish and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce. So much nicer and less greasy than a Chinese chippy. We'll be back
Great food, inexpensive and clean. The caramel and custard doughnuts are so good. The service is quick and efficient. Great value for money. The coffee isn't bad either.Food: 5/5
NEVER AGAIN! Nice easy order but could not get it right. Missed my fish out of the meal only ordered four things. Had to go back for the fish, no offer of fresh chips. Meal was a waste of time and money, will never revisit this shop again. Kids working behind the counter, to busy chatting instead of listening of orders.
After preordering and paying over the phone I went to collect our meal at the specified time. After two reminders I finally got my meal 25 minutes later. No apology. Walk ins were getting served first. When I got home the John Bull was like rock. I assume it had been sat in a warming cabinet for 30 minutes . The staff looked miserable which is unusual as I have frequented this shop and never had problems but last night I know I wasn’t alone by comments from others.
£11 for chips, sausage and gravy that are meant to be large but don’t even fill up a plate. Girls behind desk have an AWFUL attitude. Especially the younger brunette one. Doubt we will be returning.
Looks and behaves like good chippy, chip's with John bull pour over was just chip's and gravy with bit of mince, £5.50 not sure that's great on scheme of things. Will try again as new here.
We tried the curry wirst and the German hotdogs. I've lived in Germany for 25 years, this was the real deal. Amazing , thank you so much, for bringing a bit of well needed nostalgia to the table. Really great experience.
Expensive and chips were awful ....tasted like they had been warmed up a few times curry sauce was very watery no taste whatsoever large pieces of fish but thin not with the moneyFood: 1/5
