Well designed course that is challenging but fair. Impressive clubhouse with good food and welcoming staff
Great course in good condition a real pleasure to play
Course in excellent shape; true fast greens and well maintained tees. Clubhouse very hospitable
Great course in fantastic condition from the moment our 4 ball arrived we were made welcome with Chris in the pro shop setting us on our way also every member we spoke to were pleasant and informative then at the end of the round a couple of drinks in the very welcoming and comfortable bar finished a great day off
Excellent golf club . Beautiful layout . Lovely clubhouse . Give it a try !!
I Telephoned the Proshop and spoke to Hall who was courteous and offered us as visitors with Cheshire Cards a discounted rate of £35 green fee, but we could not book on the day as they only had a 6 day booking window and requested us to book on the 6th day and we would get a tee time, l asked for around 2.00 pm due some of the group travelling. I did exactly that for me and my colleagues, all of us members of a club. However when I made the call, I spoke to Matthew, who told me that we could have a tee time but the rate was £70 as there was a sudden change in policy by the management. I was not impressed you would have thought they would have honoured the commitment made. If this is the way they treat guests and go back on their word, it does not say much for the integrity of the club saying one thing one day to us and on a whim change the policy. Thank goodness our club does not treat visitors this way.
I played here as a visitor in October and the course was excellent. We played the day after heavy rain and the course had drained very well. The pro shop was well stocked and staff were welcoming. I will be back to play. Thanks, Kev
Great course in good condition a real pleasure to play
Very bitter sweet experience playing Wilmslow GC for me and my 3 friends today. Firstly the course was absolutely fantastic and one of the best I’ve played recently but the way we were treated as visitors was extremely poor. As 4 visitors we weren’t allowed to have a beer after the round in the club house members are allowed but we’re not; we were harassed numerous times for slow play by a group of members behind us even though our ability was 6, 7, 14 and 16 - so not bad; and the constant eyeballing as we walked to and from the car which made us feel very uncomfortable. Never in my 15 years of playing golf recreationally have I been alienated for being a visitor at a golf club, it’s a crying shame as the golf course was brilliant.
