I love this gallery. It is enhanced currently by having Karl, an actual artist working on a large scale in oil and willing to chat whilst doing so. Cakes and savoury snacks are great and tea is served in beautiful china by lovely people. Perfect!

Oswestry seems to be a town that is trying to bring culture to its lovely streets and shops and the Willow Gallery is a fine example of that....Lovely works on display ( with a artist in residence when I visited) from local artists and craftspeople, some would not be out of place in a gallery in a prosperous city (but prosperous cities have all the horror, fear, loathing and despair that goes with being a prosperous city, so thankfully they are not),  the tea and scone I had in in the cafe was not only fairly priced but also delicious (who could not be charmed by a warm scone?)...it is not a large space but then one of the truest clichés is "quality over quantity"  and this place has all one could want from quaint paintings of flowers to more dramatic depictions of landscapes and situations to sculptures that I and my partner contemplated for some time coming away with new though on the beauty of a more experienced and (dare it be said?) Older Woman, which is always nice when living in a patriarchy with a very narrow cultural scope, but I digress.. go there..go to Oswestry buy some second hand records from the market and take elevenses in a fine little gallery and cafe.....

It had a real life painter painting with real paint... He was a really nice chap and a good painter. A very pleasant and unexpected, unplanned experience

Bought gluten  free victoria sandwich  and some scones for a vintage afternoon charity  tea recently went down well 
We visit regularly and it's always  good and would recommend  to anyone
