The Christmas decorations are great: see the photos Below. Great prices I think too. I went in to but some tools. Those tiny pliers wire cutters and long nosed pliers a set of three. The shop is gearing up for Christmas. I think Wilko's suppliers are letting them down. These days there are always empty shelves. Wilko used to have a very cheap range of tools that did the job. I couldn't find them today. Asked and non in stock. That's the business and the staff let down. And who suffers when businesses go into decline? The workers are always the first to get it in the neck. Come on Wilko's I love your kitchen. Stuff and your tools are always available on the high street. Get it pulled around please.
Im here now, but in the Coffe place, Is full of ederly people and the patient of the workers is amazing, They listen to the order and repeat the order with absolute patience and kindness, even with me who did not understand something, no bad face and that is rare in Newcastle the people and the service are not very friendly. The food and the prices are.very good too.
Two tills open. Huge queue outside and huge queue inside. If I asked to open another till I received a very intimidating attitude from the staff. Never go back again. Editing my rewiew from last year: Today 20 September 2021 Absolutely disgusting staff attitude in this shop . I will go back when all the till will gone be self scan and no need of supervisors and manager . Just a small advice for the actual supervisor. You can address whit my love and sweetheart to your boyfriend, not to the customer in the shop.
Pleasant, helpful staff and a good range of products not quite as wide as we would have liked, we had to go elsewhere for printer ink. We found out that they have a coffee shop on the premises and were favourably impressed by the coffee and the fresh scones.
Lovely organised shop, pleasant welcome and helpful staff always available to help you the staff have worked in the store for many years it's devastating to know that the shop is closing its so very sad. I wish all of the staff the best for the future. Carol
Wilko Complaints Today 16 july 2021 at 11am i saw a water butt 210 litre for £20 advertised on the 1st floor of the Wilko Newcastle Branch. I with my friend took this to the check out on the ground floor. The check out price came up as £30 which was £10 more than the advertised price. I called for the manager to assist and he said that the sign for the £20 advertised price belonged to another item. I found in the branch that there were many signs in the same store without a description or barcode. See attached photos. I have asked trading standards to investigate as to how this wilko branch displays it goods for sale without adequate descriptions on the marked prices and which leads to disputes at the checkout
Wilko got everything from stationary to home wear to bedding and even pets food and confectionery. So it's worth popping your head in at your local wilko to see what they have in store. Reasonable priced but I still shop around. Good quality products. Clean and tidy enough for a store.staff are friendly enough. Shop at wilko many a time so will be back and I know my family and friends shop here already also x
So sad to be losing the many Wilko stores across the UK. Grabbed a couple of bargains in their closing down sale but I really fell for the many thousands losing their jobs. Our local Wilkinsons was a mainstay of the shopping centre in Poole so desperately hoping a store business takes it over with a similar type of store.
Whilst I understand everyone's experiences can be different, I was grateful to an assistant who went upstairs and brought down a choice of 2 throws for me. Which meant I didn't have to take my mam who is in a wheel chair and has dementia up in the lift she was in huff and had thrown her blanket on the wet ground this was very helpful .
Neighbourhood shopping store for anything and everything. Also they are kind of cheap too. It is a 2 story building for day to day life cleaning to gardening, Painting, and all kinds of day to tools and electrical hardware available
