The owner was super friendly and made everything easy. The room was lovely and had everything and more that you could want including a lovely breakfast for the morning.nnOne warning, there are steep steps to get to the room we were in, but if you can manage those then it's worth it.
A stop over before a family event. This was ideal for the four of us..everything we needed in a lovely setting.
Situated in the lovely Cotswolds village of Nailsworth , this amazing little hotel was a lovely find. No car park at this hotel but a few places on the road to the front and also plenty of parking across the road at a public car park which is found behind the pub. You can park here free of charge for 23 hours . To enter the hotel you go to the back of the hotel where you will find some stairs , as this is a self check hotel you will be given a code for the main back door then also your room . As you can see from the pictures the room had everything we needed for our break and also amazing views . A small breakfast hamper was delivered every morning , we had an amazing stay and will definitely be back again .
Excellent imaginative food. When I eat out I want to be offered something I wouldn't or couldn't dream of cooking myself. I can find this here. The food is amazing. The staff are very friendly without being in your face all the time. We have always been made to feel very welcome. It's worth asking for wines chosen to complement your food. Having done so once we never fail to do this. They serve some excellent, unusual wine that really works with the food, making the flavours dance in your mouth. It's not the cheapest place but I think it is good value because the food is so special. Mathew devised an amazing elderflower and gooseberry desert last summer. My favourite flavours - and it was amazing. We go here to treat ourselves. We have really enjoyed our New Year's Eve offerings here too.

Really full of flavour and good portion sizes.nnInterior: very nice.nnStaff: a little formal and a bit cold at first but you can tell they've been trained well in service.nnValue for money: prices are only a little more than regular bistro pub pricing but the food is a lot better. So yes, I'm happy with the pricing.nnWould I go back?: oh yes! The lunchtime menu is extremely nice.
