Clean and good swimming conditions, good wide lanes in the pool

I visited the Wigan Life Centre today with my family to check the gym and swimming pool membership plans, but unfortunately we had a very disappointing experience at the reception. Between 11:30 and 11:40 in the morning on June 9th of this year, we were assisted by two staff members. One of them, wearing glasses, was very polite but couldn’t provide us with the information we needed. The other, a young woman with long dark hair, dressed in gym clothes and wearing a Life Centre badge, treated us with complete disregard.nnShe didn’t even look me in the eye while speaking, answered with clear unwillingness and kept writing while talking to us, as if we were bothering her. She didn’t hand us any leaflet with the plans, something that is normally standard at this centre. I had the impression that my foreign accent might have influenced the way I was treated, which is even more upsetting considering I have lived in Wigan for many years.nnI was previously a member and was bringing family members to sign up as well, but the lack of empathy and professionalism was so clear that they immediately changed their minds. I’m writing this review because I have always been treated well at this place, and my autistic son took swimming lessons here for quite a while. I believe this kind of behaviour does not reflect the standard of the centre.nnI didn’t catch her name, but based on the time of our visit I’m sure you can identify who was at the desk. It was not the lady with shorter hair and glasses, she was very polite and respectful. The issue was with the other woman, with long hair and gym clothes.nnHer attitude left me truly shocked. It does not reflect the standards of the Wigan Life Centre, nor the values of hospitality and courtesy for which this place has always been known. Her behaviour made my family feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Go in with a routine in mind only to see kids in groups of 4 or 5 everywhere. I joined for convenience being close to town centre but unfortunately the kids are all unsupervised and staff not interested.
