Rude, insulting and offensive. Having been asked to pay £3.89 for somethings i put £4 in the self service machine. 2 x £1 coin and 1 x £2 coin, the machine on registered the two £1 coins. i told the staff member that it had not the registered the coin, she then said " the machine doesn't lie!" " Neither do i " I replied. she called her manager who then checked the machine (at my request) to find this £2 coin, but it couldnt be seen. The manager then said "give him his £2 back plus the other £2 and if its short at the end of the day i'll pay it myself!" As a principle i didn't want the additional £2 because if i took it it makes me look like a con artist, but they were insistent so i took it. she then said "to be honest your story doesnt add up , you told me the same things happen in felixstowe, you dont come to Ipswich much and that you live in Cambridge (which i do). Am i not allowed to visit family in Felixstowe!? is it not possible i was raised in Felixstowe as a child (which i was) As I left the shop, a friend of mine was a few people behind me and after he left the shop he caught up with me. " They're talking about you in there!" Oh? what are they saying" That if you come back and try it again they'll keep an eye on you! I'm not having that, calling me a liar, a fraud and a con artist in all but name! BEHIND MY BACK! So i went back in to the shop and gave them the £2 and said there you are, im not a thief or a con artist! and i dont appreciate being called so behind my back. The lady then said " you're friend is lying to you!" I said no, i've known him 15 years! WRONG WRONG WRONG Customer service. and might i suggest that if you want to call people a liar, a fraud, thief and a con artist, that you get a job working for CID!? NEVER EVER using W H again! TOTALLY WRONG!
