Wow guys !!!! I was working in the area and was looking for some lunch and this place didn’t disappoint ! BEST FISH AND CHIPS IVE EVER HAD !!! , everything about it was perfect !! A fantastic achievement in my book ! Lovely people serving and very reasonably priced Aswell !!nThanks Whitstone’s !!!
The service was with a smile. They were friendly, polite, and professional. There was a bit of a wait while it cooked, but nothing I wouldn't expect on a Thursday evening. The food was really nice, most of the chips were cooked perfectly but a few still a bit hard and raw. I had the cod, and this was very nice with the fish perfectly cooked. However, this was also slightly let down by the very thin batter that meant it kept falling apart, making it difficult to eat. The most disappointing thing was my partners battered sausage. This was unfortunately very oily and had a lot of gristle init, and she couldn't finish it.nIn conclusion, it's a great little place if you want to pick something up on the way home from work and can't be bothered to cook.
Used to be very good but the past couple of visits have been poor. Chips were tough as if reheated and cold when we got them home 5 min journey. Not a cheap meal anymore so we probably won't buy them for a while. Lee wasn't there cooking so maybe that's the reason.

Good fish fried to order average chips not fried to order. Bit clinical sort of a place, not much enthusiasm from the front of house team.nNot bad, but not great either
