Always end up picking this place over other due to weather issues like when it's rained all week they pitch drain well here. Great place to explore and walk around at night. If you like walking rams head point is just right for family.

Been coming here 20 years on and off and increasingly get the feeling tourers don’t matter. Stayed for a week after booking at full price in February and told on arrival the pool is closed. Came here rather than various other places because I wanted to swim as convolescence from a knee operation. A function on Saturday night meant not only that the restaurant and bar were out of bounds but also the touring pitches were dangerously crammed with people at the event. The restaurant, bar and shop were then closed the rest of the week ( in the Easter half term holidays!) so no pool, nowhere to eat or drink and no shop. We know the shortcomings of the toilet block but really in the 21st century and against lots of competition, 4 mouldy toilet/shower rooms shared between the paying tourers, the residential caravan dwellers in “the moat” plus anyone else in the area who wants to use them does not cut it. The poor lady keeping them clean really has her work cut out.

A beautiful location, so close to Plymouth yet so isolated. Lovely sandy beaches, great places to eat. I thoroughly recommend that you pay a visit.

Sat in my van admiring the view the site might be seemingly far to get to but it's worth it. Nice sheltered pitches, plenty of walks to see the sea. Peaceful. Restaurant on site I have put another review on. Facilities clean. Cost £20 for the night seemed at first more than I wanted to pay but it is a nice site. December 2017 now our third visit and the site remains the same but could do with some ventilation in the toilet/shower block. They have now designated the cubicles male or female. One thing to point out is if there is a wedding onsite it will effect the experience of staying there. We thought we could eat in the restaurant, which we could but on a restricted menu. Also with all the wedding guests there you felt like we were intruding. I would not let it put you off but it would be nice if it was made clear at time of booking that a wedding was on.
