I cannot thank this surgery enough. I called and spoke to the receptionist regarding my concerns for my elderly Uncle late on Thursday evening just before the surgery was due to close. I received a call back an hour later to say that I had been booked in for a triage appointment the following morning and after discussing the situation with Dr. Green a face to face appointment took place later in the morning. I am truly lost for words to express my sincere gratitude for the care that Dr. Green and the receptionist afforded me to get some urgent medical attention for my Uncle.
I cannot fault the service they always look after me its the chemist up at Sankeys they're is always one missing medication and i have to wait 3 weeks for it. But if I had the Ambulance out one secretary always rings me to see if I am OK as I am classed as extra vulnerable. And I love Nadine she knows what she is doing. And gets things done.
I was concerned as I found I had an irregular heartbeat. When I went to the GP the nurse checked my blood pressure and said everything was fine. I tried to address her of my concern using my finger tip pulseoximeter to show her the range of heart beats It was detecting in a very short space of time. she associated this with my breathing. Knowing quite well breathing shouldn’t bring your heart rate up I then asked a different nurse from a different establishment and she said blood pressure has no effect on my given situation and said I should of been given a much thorough examination. I was very disappointed with my consultation as I was dismissed without and help or knowledge. Poor standard of care unlikely to return.
This doctor surgery is great, it’s now closing down March 2024, I’m absolutely gutted
Perfect doctors if you fancy spending a considerable amount of time on the phone only to be told there aren’t any appointments left this has happened on several occasions. Extremely rude receptionist with zero patience or consideration for anyone, in fact only helpful thing she said was that I should change Doctors as I’m no longer in the area.
I've been with this so called Doctors surgery some 10 years now, from when it was a walk in centre, then the service was second to none, open eight till eight, and even on weekends I recommended soooo many people to register but after loosing it funding and now being run as a private practice from Stafford, the once shining light is now a dim candle in the wind. Nadine is the only person worth speaking to and after waiting with the phone continually engaged you finally get through to hear her name is like a mini lottery win you've made it! She's helpful and knowledgeable, but the rest you may as well put the phone down as they are clueless and sometimes downright rude. The NHS say they have six GP's at this practice for a patient count of just over 5K sounds great but in practice no pun intended there's only ever one doctor on at a time with a practice nurse! Now these figures don't add up 5K patients to one GP this is well above the safe guidelines in fact 2 and a half times the national guidelines of 2K per GP! This now all seems to make sense too many patients with not enough doctors, it's trying to have its cake and eat it taking the state money per registered patient remember they have over 5K but then operating on the lowest possible level of cover 1 GP this clearly isn't either a safe level of cover or good business practice there's that word again, but until things there change to at least 2 doctors regularly in attendance things will continue to deteriorate, and after over half the patients leave, or pass away the practice will fold as the business is no longer sustainable, so after some consideration I've reached the decision of moving from this practice and going to Darwin, Afterall the definition of stupidity is to keep doing things the same way and expecting a different result. Now although in hearing good things about Darwin practice I'm sure it's only a matter of time before all the patients from Burntwood Health and wellbeing move there and this practice will go the same way but for now I'm moving as I need a doctor I can rely on an to be brutally honest I simply can't stand the thought of speaking to another person from Burntwood Health and wellbeing on the phone except for Nadine that is, I wish them every success but unless they address the elephant in the room they will close
Outraged got a seriously ill child that’s due his repeat prescription called to see if it had been done and apparently got to wait 48 hours as it was bank holiday they new he was due so surely it should have been done really annoyed with the receptionist at most as she was rude and didn’t offer any help or advice so having to now go through 111 and hope that they can sort it have this problem every time he is due medication with a different excuse
What a dreadful service at this practice! I received a text from them to tell me to book my blood pressure test. Well, yes chance would be a fine thing! You can never get through on the phone no matter what time of day you try!! Tried to book on their website - oh ģuess what? The websites down! Im sure my blood pressure increased after this fiasco! How hard is it to provide a decent service where you put your patients first?? It was great when it first opened years ago but this place really should be shut down now. Ive changed doctors now , what a relief!!
I have been a patient at this establishment for approximately 3 years. You can never get through on the phone at 8am to book an appointment, when you get through that's if you haven't been cut off, you are greeted 9 times out of 10 with a rude unhelpful person, I refuse to use the word receptionist because I genuinely believe I have better customer service skills being a caretaker! who tells you there's no more appointments. They have yet to provide a stable repeat prescription service. Even after the take over they still can't get it right. I have never been able to see the same doctor twice which is a major issue for me due to the fact I need continuity of care due to my conditions, which brings me to the fact I have had yet another wonderful day today trying to sort out yet another prescription that has been messed up. I have had to stay at this place due to where I live and personal reasons but I don't care anymore, I will be complaining to the highest body possible and changing doctors once they eventually sort this months prescription.
Wish I could leave zero star review. Have to call at 8 am to get a same day appointment or wait three to four weeks for one, but because of the sheer amount of calls and there only being one or two receptionists on it's impossible to get through. I have called 16 times this morning between 7:59 am and finally managed to get through after being on hold for 10 minutes at 8:30 am to be told there are no appointments for today but that I will be placed on the waiting list. I wouldn't mind if this wasn't a reoccurring issue. On one occasion around mid afternoon I was on hold for over half an hour so decided to go down to be greeted with an empty reception with the receptionist ignoring the phone ringing behind her. Will definitely be changing doctors.
