1st time at Whitecroft but it will not be the last. Gorgeous meal Popappadomwith chutney tray followed by Lamb Buryani,superb, cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding, polite, professional. Big Thank you to all staff, cooks etc at Whitecroft. Look forward to coming back.
We came here for an evening meal on 26 April 2024. I am glad that we booked a table because it was busy. Despite this, the service was very quick. The restaurant wasn't noisy even though it was busy; maybe we were lucky, or just more patient than other reviewers?nnThe restaurant was clean and tidy, and the waiting staff were friendly and polite to their customers.nnThe food is utterly divine! This was simply the best Indian cuisine that I have ever tasted anywhere, and I am so glad that we will soon be living close by because we will definitely return. I had the 'Southern Indian Garlic' dish as medium and it was scrumptious. I really do recommend this dish!nnAll the food was VERY flavoursome but not as hot and spicy as I thought it might be. I usually opt for a medium hot dish but I found the food to have more of a medium spiciness. This isn't a criticism though, I'm drooling just thinking about this meal.nnI highly recommend this restaurant and I strongly advise that you book a table before arriving.
My first visit to Whitecroft was very good. We were greeted as soon as we entered. All the waiters were attentive and friendly throughout our meal. My starter of king prawn puri was beautiful, I really enjoyed it. Possibly one of the best I've had to date. The mix starter went down well also. I opted for a lamb tikka balti madras for my main and we got all the sides of rice, chips and garlic naan. The curry was good but quite standard, it wasn't very spicy but it was nice. However, it wasn't a curry that I'd remember or would stand out. I feel the same regarding the naan bread, lovely and soft but I prefer a bit more garlic. I will definitely revisit and try something different for my main.nOverall a good evening and I do look forward to returning.
Great food. Friendly staff that we had good banter with. Just an all-round great atmosphere. Nice selection of dishes. The main I ordered was a bit too bitter for my liking. But I sampled some of the other mains, including a vindaloo, and they were exceptional. I would recommend for a great evening.
Came here with my friends for iftaar on our yearly iftaar outing, popadoms were nice with the chutney tray, i really liked the red sauce everywhere else its usually spicy but im not a big fan of spice, yours was sweet with a slight kick to it which was perfect, the mix grill was very nice although the lamb chops were quite chewy rather than meaty that could be somewhere to improve on for next time we come down, the keema naans were lovely one of the best i had in a while, food was lovely, staff were very friendly, the only few things i can say that could do with improving is the drinking glasses were a bit dirty so we didn't use them, the toilets were quite unclean like they hadn't been cleaned in a while, and the last one is there was only 1 staff on the floor which i understand as it was iftaar time so they were off eating and breaking their fast so i happy and respect that as we was doing the same. But we needed some drinks and had been sat there for a good 10/15 minutes waiting for staff member to finish speaking to a regular customer, we tried getting his attention many times but failed so had to stop eating our food as we badly needed a drink haha, but other than that was a good experience will be back in future inshallah, hopefully these teething issues will be fixed next time.nnThank you for having us
