Unfortunately, I didn’t see what her name was but the Caucasian elderly woman who works at the front desk is the rudest person I have encountered she wears her hair in ponytail and wears glasses. When I went in for a job fair, I asked a simple question to her and she got extremely defensive and and talked in a condescending manner and then proceeded to speak rudely to her colleague. As a customer I was shocked and offended that this is who customers will first see when they enter the job centre. I also spoke to a friend of mine who had an appointment with job centre whitechapel telling her to beware of this woman and my friend told me after her appointment that she had a negative encounter with this woman. I was gobsmacked that my friend also had a similar experience with her and concerned how she talks to other customers and colleagues on a daily basis. I’m assuming she’s not very nice to work with and if she hates her job so much she should leave so she doesn’t trouble other people around her. Very disappointed, I would rather travel further to another job centre than to attend this one where the staff members are horrible.
Absolutely poor Customer service, not from all members of staff a very select few individuals. The security do try to do there best in ensuring that in the morning because the system checking clients/Customers in, is not straight forward and organized this why security do have to TRY take control most time. Depending on who you see, you will get great help and great support. But they do need a change in staff immediately as staff have no knowledge of customer service, as dealing with uncommon situations.
Staff helpful and polite to person I was supporting at appointment.
Never says SETTLE STREET in any text message reminder. Feels purposefully misdirectional, as there are more than one Job Centre in Tower Hamlets. What's the point of a reminder text with ONLY HALF of the information. Been to the wrong JCP 3 times now as they keep changing where I'm meant to go. Its a very very simple and easy thing to fix.
First time at this jobcentre and it was the best experience i could of asked for. My advisor and his manager was so helpful and went above and beyond, i could not ask for more
At least you leave there with your dignity if little else.
Suddenly job centre looks like a prison visit with all the screens up
Alhamdulillah .... a better place
