Story

John and Lyndsey took over the pub in November 2014, moving from Westerhope Golf Club.Our focus is on supporting our local community in all aspects of village life.
We provide an informal, family-friendly atmosphere offering excellent value for money with great service.

Visited here several times and always had excellent meals that are tasty and well presented (and the portions are huge!). Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

It was a nice and bright but snowy day when I visited so it was nice and quiet. It's decor is lovely and the staff were very accomodating letting us swap out foods and things. I think the prices were very reasonable and during the summer they have a lovely beer garden at the back

It was early 17:45 and half term but kids running round like a playground. Food nothing much to write home about. Poor experience overall but the staff were nice.

We went in the bar for drinks and ordered a pint of Theakstons XB and a Martini Rosso, the Theakstons XB was excellent clear in the glass and an exceptional taste, we decided after reading the menu to stay for an early dinner, my wife had the fish pie and I had steak and mushroom pie, both meals were exceptional and very tasty, we pop in the White Swan in Ovingham occasionally and we fully recommend this pub for drinks and food, and the bar staff and management are very pleasant and friendly!
