WARNING, WARNING 100% satisfied. We booked as a treat on the way home, 18th century pub very well maintained. food and service to a very high standard. Room 4 very well set out plenty of drinks provided, clean, tidy nice furniture, decorated to a good standard. View and table outside of grass gardens. Good breakfast, set in a great location, walks close by for those adventures. All in all highly recommend
Great pub, lovely staff - they even let us hang out in the garden after they'd closed up. Shame they stop serving at 6pm on a Sunday, but that said, it was dead! Drinks slightly pricey, but no more than you'd expect for a remote county pub. Spacious car park. Garden is almost completely flat making it wheelchair accessible, and fairly well sectioned natural wooden permanent gazebo area for shade, wooden benches across the lawn with umbrellas if required, separate garden with one or two intimate benches. No designated disabled parking that we noticed, but the car park it pretty flat - it's concrete with a loose stoney top. Blackberry bushes line some on the garden's perimeter, so we were lucky enough to enjoy some delicious, freshly picked fruit during our stay too! Puppy enjoyed them also.... Garden's dog friendly! We'll definitely be visiting again. This place felt like a secret afternoon escape!
Just wanted to leave a good review of the restaurant. Lovely meal. Nice village pub with nice restaurant. Tasty locally sourced food. Recommend. The lamb was lush and the desert pretty as well as tasty XXXRooms: 5/5
Came here for a Sunday roast and was absolutely outstanding. Best roast I've had in a long time. Staff lovely and will definitely be returning if we're back in the area.
Dropped in here after seeing it in the Good Pub Guide and it was every bit as good as the guide suggested. Lovely place, good food and good beer. Definitely on our places to revisit list.
Stayed for the weekend - it was an absolute treat. Excellent rooms, delicious food and lovely staff. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.
Great staff, let us join late in the afternoon and get some snacks. Would love to have stayed for dinner, but it was closed on Sunday evening.
A really lovely pub and B&B, IN A lovely village setting. The meals are great, the staff really helpful. Chatty too. The rooms are comfortable and clean, nothing is too much trouble shower in our ground floor room was rather high off floor but with a step easy to use. Patio door into a small patio and table and chairs nice warm towels, and toiletries to use. Meals are great both breakfast and evening meals. The drinks and meals are added to your room payment. Would stay again if needed
Lovely place to stay, staff were very friendly and the breakfast was the best we've ever tasted. We also ate at the restaurant in the evening. The service was impeccable and every part of our meal was excellent. The best food we've ever tasted!
Went there for Sunday lunch with my daughter and sister. The things I do!!! The service was superb. With our roast beef medium rare and juicy. All 3 of us had different deserts all raved about their own. Nice split between eating in the bar or in other rooms. We will return.
