We had dinner here on a Monday evening and it was fabulous. From outside, the pub looks gorgeous with all the Christmas lights and inside was just as lovely Tables are nicely set apart and the welcome is friendly. The food was fantastic, especially the coffee panna cotta...the best I've ever had! Great value for money, really nice and varied selection of drinks and food. Attentive service and no issues, I'd love this as my local
Great place for lunch. Enjoyed my main meal here. The pudding was good but I think it good be improved for home made puddings overall very nice I would return for sure, staff was nice as well.
Beautiful pub with amazing, tasty food! We only planned to come here for one evening whilst staying locally but the food was so good we chose to come back for Sunday Roast the next day. Steak was a 10/10 Roast was a 10/10 And was all served very promptly. Credits to the chef & servers!
Loved our visit. Very inviting from outside evening visit. Nice surroundings. Warm, friendly welcome. Great service. Good choice of food, well presented and reasonably priced. Music just a little too loud for our taste but we'll definitely be back.
This was my first visit, certainly won’t be my last. We asked for a recommendation and we were not disappointed with our meal. The lamb was so succulent and tasted fantastic. The staff were brilliant, warm and friendly. Just what you want. An absolute gem of a place and so glad to have it on our doorstep.
Best roast dinner around! Roast potatoes were delicious. Did not scrimp on the cheese on the cauliflower and lashings of gravy! Staff all lovely and attentive. Price was reasonable too. Will be back soon Keep doing what you are doing :-
Our first visit to the Lansdowne and everyone enjoyed their food, even the two kids! It was very busy unusually so according to the server but it was still clean, there wasn't a big wait for food and the staff were still friendly. We'll definitely go again.
Went with a friend who has celiac disease. Assured that the food would be fine under the old management there were never issues. He must have been given a dangerous amount of gluten because he was very ill. Used to be a great place to eat but now hygiene levels means it’s not safe for those with allergies.
Under New Management! Lansdowne Arms has gone through some ups & downs in recent years. Even a few weeks ago it was on something of a low ebb but… new GM, new Chef & mostly all new staff in recent weeks has been transformative. Back to good quality food, service & ambience. Thank you Lansdowne Arms team for a lovely dinner experience tonight. We’re excited to see everything heading in a very positive direction!
The staff are really friendly and helpful. It was a very busy sunday lunchtime. The service was good, and the food was delicious. Most important was that the staff were all really cheerful although incredibly busy - nothing was too much trouble.
