Breakfast is good and not expensive £9 for two full English with coffee. 2 eggs ,2 sausages, 2 rashers of bacon, tomatoes beans and toast, not forgetting a huge mushroom, all very tasty. Great value and excellent service. Busy Saturday morning.

Hi, I just want to say what a great lunch I had yesterday. Food delicious and service by Molly was first class. Well done to you all in these trying circumstances.
Reasonable range of ales and lagers. Nice old building, rustic charm with a degree of liveliness all round not bad.
Wanted a typical English Fish and Chip meal and we not disappointed. Very large cod and mushy peas or garden peas to accompany as well did not disappoint either. Well served and staff very friendly. Will definitely recommend this place and will go there again.
Fresh cooked food. In the heart of town. Not too busy. Easy to get too. Lovely log fire and really gives off heat.
Very happy with the the food on offer. Lovely and hot and served on hot plates which for us is a must. My husband's scampi was lovely and my camembert was delicious although the cucumber slices were a bit too thick for me but enjoyed it anyway. Pleasant and friendly staff. The manager very welcoming. Will be back soon. Good menu.
