I loved the history of the White Hart Hotel and the decor was perfect in this regard. The room had everything I needed and the bed was really comfortable. Staff were friendly and the position was right in the middle of the beautiful town of lewes so close to everything and a 5 minute walk to the station.
I cannot emphasise how disappointed I was based on the room I was placed in. No standards in hygiene whatsoever and with fitting falling out of walls and stained headboard and walls. No hand soap supplied in bathroom either considering we are in the midst of corona virus.
Great service and location. We enjoyed the character of the hotel, although it could benefit from some refurbishment. The price for the family room was very reasonable and our family of four slept comfortably. We had the pool to ourselves while we were there.
Feel of 18th century. Gourmet meals in the hotel restaurant. Good idea to have a company Christmas lunch or dinner here.
We ordered coffee. I specifically asked for mine to be extra hot. When it eventually arrived we were the only customers in the cafe at the time it was stone cold. Not even lukewarm. We asked for it to be redone and it arrived the same. Not great for £6 for 2 coffees!
