Traditional olde style British pub. Staff can't do enough for you, also there's a new sheriff in town apparently he's pretty good. Fair play and good luck lads!! Delightful place to spend five minutes of our hectic lives tis
Booked a table over the phone for Friday night. Young lad on the phone said it was busy so asked if we could come in early. I said that was fine and asked if that meant we would only have the table for a certain amount of time. He ensured me we didn't and it was just to make it easier on the kitchen staff. We arrived at 5pm and upon arrival were advised by the waitress that we would need to vacate our table by 7pm at the latest as they had a large party coming in. I said I asked this question over the phone and we were advised we would have the table all night and her response was 'well, I've only just started my shift so don't know what's going on'. As it was a special meal we did not want to be rushed and decided not to stay as we would not be able to relax knowing someone else needed our table. Thankfully for us, the Indian restaurant across the road was very accommodating and fitted us in and we were able to stay there for as long as we wanted. REALLY disappointed in our booking and if two sittings are happening customers should be advised at the time of booking instead of lying and saying we would have the table all evening. Would give it one star based on how we were treated but giving two stars as have had drinks here many times before and the quality of the drinks were excellent.
Arrived too late for lunch because I didn’t read the timetable correctly. Nick was ever so sweet and kept the kitchen open for us to eat. Many thanks for your kindness
Excellent place to eat and drink. Outstanding staff, very attentive. Delicious mains and desert. I highly recommend this place.
Stopped of for a well deserved pint after a 9.5 mile walk, sat out the front and watched the world go by, nice beer garden to rear too.
Found on a 'restaurants near me' search when we were in an unfamiliar location, the reviews are not wrong! Excellent food & service from a traditional pub! Plenty of parking too. Lovely village location
We booked a table for Fri night. Pub was buzzing and warm. Staff are excellent. Service fantastic. Food great. WELL done Nick and Staff.
