It's a lovely place - we love it, as does our two year old. I do think that Rhyme Time or whatever activities should not take over the children's section. It wouldn't happen in the adults section - imagine - all closed for the knit and natter! It should be accessible. Either a different space or not so precious about not dropping in or being allowed in once it's started ...
The children's section is nice, but the staff were rude to me and my mum when we arrived with my toddler. As soon as we walked in, they said "you can't come in to Rhyme Time, because you're late" which we weren't there for. They wouldn't let my child use the children's section. Perhaps the class should be in a private space, rather than public library if they don't want any of the public coming in.
Lovely place to read. However, it will be nicer to have the reception outside the actual reading areas. Having to hear the library attendants attend to people while you're reading is distracting
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Library carries a wide range of non fiction books in particular. Not so good on fiction. DVD hire is available. Internet access available but slow connection and many innocuous sites are blocked. Plenty of seating. Staff are very helpful. This is probably the loudest library I've ever used. Gets busier than Maps suggests 3pm-4pm, popular with students at this time.

I can only give this library two stars as the noise from the children make it pretty difficult to use the library for studying or trying to concentrate. The kids are just way too loud in their kid's zone. They scream and run all over the place. At first it was amusing, but it gets annoying pretty quickly.
As a grandparent with mobility difficulties ,had to stop taking my young grandson to rhymetime . Because it's not inclusive now as everyone​ has to sit on the floor . Without​ any respect or dignity . With having to ask for chairs each time , it's clearly​ not liked when I ask for a chair for my grandson so he is at the same level as me to attend to . Always moaned at that he has to sit on the floor on cushions . Away from me .
Internet facilities are very poor. Them computers are too slow and wont open all sites. You gotta pay 1 pound for 20 minutes of internet use. At least 6 of them will be wasted becouse of those things switching on. Each time using them is nerve wrecking. Otherwise libary is alright.
Very helpful staff. Set up bus passes for my class
