Several occasions now that the lady with short hair who works there is so rude and not very helpful at all. She is not very approachable at all and is very patronising when we asked for help. This is also what other people have experienced when dealing with this lady which is such a shame because librarians should be very approachable, friendly and helpful. Nice local library ruined by one moody and miserable individual, I would not come back again simply because of her.
A lovely quiet place and a great support for people, families and children of the community. I couldn't do without. Especially in a cold and rainy day, it is like heaven for my daughter who really enjoys reading.
Up until today my experiences have been fairly good, although I have found the staff are very patronising.nToday, the woman I spoke to was rude, arrogant, confrontational and self possessed, perhaps if younger staff were employed they would have better people skills.
Nice place for study which is on London Road. There are some clubs like reading, chess etc.
Its easy to find and access,basically not in the village,so look out for the sign saying westcliff library.
