A photographer's dream, the West Pier always has something to offer. Murmurating starlings in the Spring, beautiful silhouetted sunsets and even the odd seal! It can be dangerous to swimmers and small craft so beware. Otherwise it's a great spot to just relax and take in some amazing views!
I was thinking of going here on my boat, but it isn't really possible to climb on the abandoned pier. If you have a boat and want to see an abandoned pier head I would recommend Herne Bay instead.
A simple sight to behold but one that adds to Brighton's character.
There are pebbles, and there are more pebbles. Could get a bit busy and crowded at peak times/season. Quite a few nice live music venues nearby as well as descent bars and restaurants.
For Brighton its a memory, For birds its their home, For photographers its a beautiful scene. And with sunset its awesome..
What a shame somebody set fire to this national memory, putting an end to any hope of planned restoration. It's a mystery who was responsible and why they did this.
Lovely to paddle up to. Saw some black storks sitting on top and also some people fishing round the back off their paddleboards which looked dreamy. Be safe, follow the signage and don't do anything stupid :
