To anyone who is exempt from wearing a mask - blonde haired sales lady will refuse to serve you unless you are willing to share precise details about your private life. Her voice was very rude about it on top of that, which made the situation very unpleasant and stressful. Will not be shopping here again.
One of my favourite shops in Brighton. The staff are always lovely and up for a chat - the home wares are really unique and fun. They are also I think the only place in town that stocks tatty devine and I blaaaady love a bit of if but can almost never afford it.
If I could give this woman zero stars I would. She demanded I provide evidence of my disability when I said I was exempt from wearing a mask. When I told her I was autistic she pulled a face whilst appraising whether she would allow me entry. This caused me great distress and I told her to p*** off and said she was ableist. All people with an invisible disability should AVOID this horrible person and her business. I have a good mind to contact the local MP and get this person investigated for discrimination under the Equality Act 2010.

Bought some early stocking fillers here and I know they will be well received. I didn’t clock the cheeky name when I shopped here so thought my card had been hacked when I saw it on my credit card statement.
Carefully curated shop of quirky and weird books, gifts and home decor. The owners are delightful and make the place really personal. The Moomin stuff are a special highlight.
Great shop, shame that this weekend the staff were as miserable as sin, especially the woman with the bob hair cut. Was constantly moaning at her colleague while I was in the shop about her delivery taking to long to put away.
