Small and nice place, very kid friendly and it was quiet on the day we arrived. The place is small but usually not as busy as some other places. The bouldering wall has suitable levels for all even for kids and a 13m high wall. We just walked in without booking for bouldering, the climbing wall does require booking.
A brilliant centre, very knowledgable staff who are always on hand to give you tips and help you improve. I personally like the small size as you get to know other regulars quickly. You can rent shoes on entry but be sure to bring chalk as they don't sell it at the desk or ask other climbers nicely to borrow. This is a hidden gem at weekends.
Nice staff, and a decent gym. I will say the bouldering area is a bit small, but there was still enough to wear me out. I'm still pretty new to bouldering, but this gym seemed harder than others I've been to trying out climbs with similar ratings, and by the end I had some gnarly blisters I've never had issues with before. I do recommend it though, good place, fun challenge!
Cozy place with the best ambience. The staff is helpful, well prepared and super nice! The community is healthy, friendly and open to anyone who wants to join. Climbing was just as important as its social counterpart.
Nice climbing wall although the area is very small so it congested easily
Thoroughly enjoyed my time at the rock-climbing spot. Friendly staff and and affordable pricing made it a fantastic experience for a first-timer like me.
Excellent place. The manager Callum is really friendly and helpful. The roped routes are about 13m. There is an overhanging route, a corner and some small slab routes. The boulder room is small but contains lots of features including an overhang, a horseshoe and a pillar. The setting is excellent. The range of grades for roped routes is from 3 to 7a/b. The range of boulder problems is from V0 to V6/7. The roped routes are named, which is fun. You can rent shoes and harnesses, but not chalk. There is no water fountain, but you can fill water bottles from the tap at the sink in the bathroom. There is a great community here that is very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this place and there are several nice pubs nearby which serve good food.
A nice small bouldering room with a surprisingly large amount of routes considering the size. It wasn't busy on a Tuesday evening so it was a great experience for beginners. Very friendly and helpful staff, big thanks to Mike for his tips and advice for a beginner
Place does not represent the pictures in size, as it is very small. Bouldering room specific No chalk is available to rent or buy, so if it is your first time bring your own. According to staff ''chalk is only required if you are a professional climber''. climbing shoes available to rent Staff was rude and un-interested in the job, in us being there and climbing. Did not feel welcome from the moment we got there. As we left, my partner and I said 'Bye' and 'Thank-you', the staff member ignored'. A brief tour was given not a good or easily understandable tour for someone new or first time who may not know how tags or difficulty systems work in a climbing gym, then left to your own devices without any further check-ins. Not expecting a pamper treatment and someone following us around, but no demonstrations or climbs were shown as an example. The staff member pointed fingers at tags to show starting points that are not clear to someone new. Brought along partner who has never climbed and was very excited as I have bragged about how fun it is and been few times myself. Regret the decision to come to this gym, as it does not represent what climbing gyms should and are like in most cases. I don't write reviews or feel the need to bad mouth any place or anyone, but as someone who loves climbing and was beyond excited to share the experience with partner for the first time, this was the worst first experience I could think off. Maybe it was the timing around 7PM or just the staff member on shift, but I hope anyone new visiting here has a much better experience then we did.
I climbed here for a few days when visiting London. The staff and climbers are very friendly and accommodating. This place is a bit smaller when compared to gyms such as Planet Granite but vastly makes up for it in its atmosphere, routes, and regulars. If you have a chance to climb here, be sure to try some of Mike's routes. They often require a bit of thought to work through and focus more on technique rather than strength. These routes were one of my favorite parts of the place along with the collection of music on that pink ipod. This place is definitely worth checking out.
