The staff are very friendly and helpful WHEN EVER you call for your prescriptions and excellent service.

If I could give a zero rating I would..my doctor sent the prescription 56 hours ago and yet I arrive and it’s not ready.. Jen the assistant was very obnoxious and unhelpful .. I will escalate complaints further and this distribution chemist should be avoided.

Absolutely ridiculous place. 7-8 people in the queue. 5 of the personnel are just packing bags, and no one comes to the counter to serve. Then, someone eventually served 2 people from the queue and walked away back to packing stuff. It is like that every time I pick up my prescriptions, which is regularly. Even if you are alone in the store, you still will be waiting a few minutes until someone decides to serve you. Another thing: 7-10 days waiting for your prescription to be ready from the day it's been ordered. Seriously!!!??? My old pharmacy in South Shields needed only 3 days tops. It's time to look for another pharmacy in Birtley.

Wish I could put zero stars, was having an asthma attack in my mams car after not being able to find my inhalers anywhere. We happened to pass this pharmacy so I ran in to ask for help so the young girl who seemed lovely, shame about the man in charge of her asked me to write down my details as i have never been to that pharmacy. While trying to find me on the system, the man behind the counter was extremely rude and after finally finding me on the system he refused to help me as I hadn’t ordered them for so long. I understand this may be the law but he could have at least offered to ring my GP and get it approved. The way this man spoke to me while I was clearly in distress, crying and struggling to breathe was disgusting. People like him should not be in this job, wish I saw his name tag but was far too distracted to think of that at the time.

I rushed into this pharmacy at 10.55pm with a prescription from the hospital. I was concerned they'd not prescribe my medicine, as they close at 11pm. But they did! An absolute Godsend having a pharmacy 5 - 10 minutes drive away to collect a prescription so late at night. Both members of staff were friendly & sorted my prescription promptly. Thank you to the staff there tonight working unsociable hours, it's very much appreciated. I will come here again if my usual pharmacy is closed.
