The garden centre is lovely but the cafe is very disappointing. I went in this morning with my daughter and 2 grandsons. Just wanting 2 sausage toasties off a children's menu. But that wasn’t possible unless we had extras. So we had to get 2 sausage toasters with chips which they didn't need. My daughter and I had just wanted cheese toasties but that had to come with chips. 2 cups of tea. 2 small cakes and that came up over £53. It’s wasn’t very warm either so we didn’t take our coats off. It’s not a very blush cafe so why it’s so expensive I do not know. Never again.
This is more than just a garden centre. The range of things unrelated to gardening that you can buy here is extensive and the actual garden centre just part of the total shopping experience. My interest was in the garden centre. The 2 stars relate to the actual garden centre which in my view is extremely expensive. In terms of the range of garden materials and plants available, and value for money, it merits 2 stars at most. . And we left very soon after seeing the prices. Not a Garden Centre I can recommend. Much better.... Minshulls Garden Centre at Bradfield Green.
I only go there to buy birthday cards as it has a really good selection. Also I buy reduced clothes from the Regatta range. Occasionally I may buy the odd plant if it has been reduced. It is an expensive shop to buy plants.
Brilliant little garden Center, love having a good look around here
A very large garden and gift centre with lots of things to browse at. All undercover even the garden section which is great on rainy days. I docked a star, as last time I was there parts of the shop/gifts areas where very dusty/dirty like they hadn't been touched or cleaned in a while. Also, when I visited today there were leaks in the ceiling where water was dripping down onto goods and damaging them. There were items which were wet from these leaks and we spotted water damaged books which were also mouldy which obviously had been there a while. There is a Cafe onsite too but cannot comment on it as I have never used it. Parking is easy in the free large car park onsite. It is all wheelchair and pram friendly. This is a dog friendly place except for the cafe.
Excent selection of Christmas items .Interesting aquarium department. Cafe ok staff worked hard .Tastey scones mmm The only niggle was the garden centre is a maze .Could not find my way arround. Needs more signage.
All your garden needs and more. Excellent cafe for meeting friends.
Visited with my disabled mother ,who is in a wheelchair , and my son with his wife and children. Enjoyed our browse and had a lovely drink and snack in the café
When in the area Love popping in for a wander around to pick up a few bits and the cafe is amazing food cakes and scones it is hard to choose
Totally lovely friendly and helpful staff are an asset to this garden Centre. The staff are already ready to help and lift heavy items for me. the quality of the plants is good. The cafe makes a lovely cup of tea and teacakes. The reward scheme is great. Keep up the good work.
