A+ for atmosphere and layout. Beautiful store, great selection of books. I particularly liked the display of feminist books for children but found the behavior and attitude of the staff to be quite contradictory. I witnessed several instances of staff making customers feel uncomfortable and notably, an older man (staff) spoke to a pre-teen condescendingly when all she was looking for were GCSE Maths books. Surely, the job of a bookseller is to encourage people, especially young people who may be new to the book store environment, to seek out books and feel comfortable in bookstores rather than tear down their confidence and be rude to them?Just a thought. There were many books i had wanted to buy, as well as some tat for entertainment purposes but i couldn't bare to give those employees my custom or have to engage in civilities at the counter after what i had witnessed.

Staff were amazingly friendly and super helpful. I needed to exchange a gift and they were very accommodating. Lovely bookshop!
