Nolans is great for fresh produce you can't find in chain supermarkets. The veg and butchers section are the best around to find specialities. Staff are helpful and polite. Always a pleasure to visit.
I absolutely love this shop and the great community family feel to it. Please keep doing what you are doing. Feels like a lovely hidden gem. One only fault I can give is I overheard a staff member around the fruit n veg section talk in a not so nice way to what seemed to be a more junior staff member without realising I heard. Definitely would prefer that be stamped out as everything else was brilliant and for it to be a once off.
I don’t usually write reviews for supermarket but this one deserved one. Nolan's is the supermarket with the best variety of products I have seen in Dublin. Very good quality products at reasonable prices and a very nice store. 10/10
Nice grocery store in the fancy neighbourhood of Clontarf. Awesome range of vegan products, from che*zes to ready meals. Impressive range of gluten free products. Fruits and vegetables taste much better than regular shops. Posh as the area is, so prices are accordingly.
The best grocery shop in Dublin with fresh produce! I was looking for a specific cheese and Mikol quickly mentioned the name to me and to my surprise, they had it in the shop! Mikol is particularly friendly and she takes good care of returning customers like myself.
Have started to do some of our shopping here since we moved into the area. It's pretty much on a par price wise with other supermarkets for things like tinned tomatoes, soy sauce, dried herbs, jam etc. It also has a great selection of more niche products from Irish food producers. The reason I've started to shop here though is because of the butcher counter. It's absolutely fantastic and has cuts you won't find in most of the other local butchers free range pork for example. Sure, it's quite expensive, but you can taste the quality and there's always a butcher available to give advice. There's also a great fruit and veg section, and what we like is that not everything comes wrapped in plastic. So you can pick up a selection of mushrooms, a single chilli, just enough lemongrass to make a curry etc. Much less food waste. The staff are great, and it strikes a nice balance between being a more artisan style of supermarket while also having competitive prices for essentials. The off-licence is a bit underwhelming, and a peeve of mine across all supermarkets in general is that the portion sizes of artisan Irish cheese is always too big and doesn't lend itself to picking up more than one. Let me buy 3 quids worth of Gubeen!
Very rude staff. Display out of date products on the shelves and charge a premium price for them. Won’t be back. Don’t waste your hard earned cash here folks! Plenty other better supermarkets in the area. Avoid at all costs!!!
Living very close and do shopping here most of the time as convenient, i can drive or cycle thinking exercise plus pannier bags on bike to carry shopping. I like the staff and the great selection of fresh produce, i like the health section too.
I’ve tried the venue several times giving it time to improve but fortunately it has not. Poached eggs were both raw and cooked with far too much vinegar. Even the brown toasted bread was barely edible. Staff young and mostly pleasant but not attentive enough to customers. Please get the breakfast right.
Fantastic selection of fresh locally-grown produce and meats, look out for special offers and you can make some delicious meals at home with quality ingredients at a reasonable price. Good customer service too.
