It was so windy this evening. I was freezing. I was here to make some photos. But because of wind, even the tripod was not enough. But nice view. Next time I'll come earlier to not need long exposure. Really nice place to visit

Best visited via the West Somerset Steam Railway, the harbour is just a short walk away. Boats, Pubs, places to eat the village, and good walking. Good views of Wales across the Bristol Channel.

My home town, lovely old charm with bags of character, loads of history, it was attacked a few times by Vikings back in the day, Watchet also has links with Samuel Coleridge who wrote the famous poem the rime of the ancient mariner, there is a fantastic statue to this on the esplanade, there is also a brilliant museum charting the whole history of Watchet and surrounding area. You can catch a steam train from the charming train station, on the line which travels between Minehead and Bishops Lydeard, Watchet also has a nice little marina with views out to the Bristol channel. Some great pubs and bars, and some very good cafés and restaurants, all in all well worth a visit.

I personally want enthralled by this place. There's not much to do and it's not even that great a place to walk. There is a supposedly a fossil beach but the beach is so rocky and difficult to get to you probably won't enjoy it. There's a couple of shops and not much of a view
