Even tho I'm rating this as a 4star the food was amazing and i would recommend other's to try the dish. I ordered two of the new rib n rice dish it was full of flavour. Could have done with more ribs and rice other then that it was very nice
Last nigjt tight crispy fried beef. It was amazing. I love the food here. Taste is good andnauthetic . Staff is helpfull. It is Halal which is my basic need Parking: Parking is on the next street. Little bit hard to find the spot

Great to have a halal chinese place in Reading! Love the chicken balls and the prawn toasts. We always order a mixture of things and it's always enjoyable. Portion sizes are generous and there's something for everyone, from non spicy to spicy
Food was order through Uber eats. Wanted Chinese and was branching out to try a new place. Food was delicious, especially the honey sesame chicken which was fabulous. Quite generous portions, between the three of us eating we couldn’t finish all of the food, so plenty of leftovers! Would definitely recommend!

Has been taken over by new management - and wow, it's absolutely delicious. Had several meals since the takeover and we are very impressed. Staff are very friendly and willing to accommodate any special orders. Couldn't ask for a better local takeout. Highly recommended the crispy chilli chicken.
Shocking really, all the food we ordered was very bland, hardly any flavour at all, the beef in all the dishes had been cooked in water no colour or flavour and the chicken balls made with pre cooked chicken resulting in dry chicken and again under seasoned and bland. The whole meal Taste like a home cook trying to cook Chinese takeaway. Nothing tasted fresh. Overall none of our order was good and we won’t be returning.
I ordered from Wan Choi for the first time today and my family and I were not disappointed. We have been stuck ordering limited items from most Chinese takeaway restaurants as we only eat halal. I was pleasantly surprised to find Wan Choi online one evening when I was scrolling though a list of restaurants near me that offer halal food. I read through quite a few of the reviews on google and found most of them to be very positive. I ordered though Just Eat and set a delivery time. I received a call back from Wan Choi just after they opened and they asked if they could deliver a little earlier as they were very busy. The gentleman I spoke to was very polite and professional on the phone and I agreed to the earlier delivery time. The delivery was made at the exact time stated on the phone and all social distancing measures were taken. Driver confirmed the name on the order so as to not deliver to the wrong address and left. The food was all well cooked, sufficiently seasoned and tasted freshly prepared. We ordered quite a few different dishes as we wanted to really try them out. I hope they are consistent with the service and quality of food as our first experience was great. We will be a returning customer for the foreseeable future. I would highly recommend Wan Choi to anyone who only eats halal but also to anyone who doesn’t care either way.
