Too many pot holes! Roadworks that seem to be ever lasting! Down by the river is nice though

I have always found the staff in the ticket office and on the platforms to be very helpful and courteous - it can't be easy dealing with the general public who are often tired, stressed and in a hurry. In the last couple of days we have had excellent service from the ticket office helping to set up my daughter's railcard for her commute to college, many thanks!

Arrived in the middle of the day after a 2 & a half hour journey, desperate for the toilet, main toilets were O.O.O...so a kind member of staff allowed me back on to the platform where only Accessible toilet was available to use, unfortunately I couldn't get past the door, the toilet cubicle was soooo filthy, slimey floor surface & grime everywhere, the stench of urine & human waste was so bad I couldn't get across the door, let alone use the facilities, I wouldn't believe health hazards like this exist in 2024 Surrey Surburbia, had I not seen/smelled it myself!!! I have the use of my legs and made a dash for the pub up the road, however this was the Accessible toilet so other patrons may sadly have had no other choice, that kind dirt & smell doesn't appear overnight, so it's been seriously neglected for goodness knows how long.

I recently had the misfortune of having to use Walton-on-Thames station. I was appalled at the state of the station. The platforms were filthy and strewn with litter, and the station itself was not very well maintained either. The ticket machines were also unreliable, and I found myself waiting in line for a long time just to get a ticket. The staff were unhelpful, and the overall experience was pretty unpleasant.

The bicycle parking suffers from permanent bikes that haven't moved for months. There are around 40 bikes taking up valuable space which need removing. It would be nice to see these bikes removed to make way for others who wish to use this excellent facility.
