I love this place!nI’ve visited Walcot House many times since it opened, as a local, and I honestly can’t fault it. The food is delicious, fresh, and the menu offers a great range of choices. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a Sunday roast as well.nThe Sunday roast is decent, though a bit too salty for me. The lunch menu is great, and we especially love the mushroom pasta, it was absolutely divine.nSometimes we just pop in for a drink or a coffee for a quick catch-up with friends.nThere’s a huge dining area at the back, and the front section is perfect if you’re after something cozy with great vibes and a lovely atmosphere. The service is excellent: warm welcomes from all the staff, who are friendly, quick, and professional.nnWell done to the whole team. A must-try!
This place was fabulous for dinner. Everything was amazing - the service especially the lovely Hungarian waitress, the food Manchego cheese with honey, Venison bolognaise, and a burger all from the bar snacks menu, the drinks Lost in New York cocktail, the style / decor, and the overall ambience. If we’re being really picky, it was maybe a tiny bit dark in the bar part given we were eating, but honestly that was hardly a factor. We will 100% return next time we’re in Bath.
A lovely Sunday afternoon lunch for a birthday celebration. The service was lovely and we were left to it. The food was delightful - warm bread and butter to start with! We had three courses it was a celebration! and each was as tasty as the one before. For a Sunday afternoon the restaurant area was busy, but it wasn't too overbearing and was easy to speak to each other.
I had a lovely meal here at Walcot House. I was dining alone and made to feel very welcome. Edgar my server was friendly, prompt and generally excellent.nnAtmosphere was great and lighting was perfect - really dim, but light enough to enjoy the food. I’m fussy about lighting.nnThe chips are excellent, as was the cauliflower and leek gratin. Ribeye steak was very tasty, if a little too fatty a cut to be perfect.nnMany was limited as it was a Sunday, but overall a great option for dinner.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening in the restaurant. The service was excellent from start to finish. The food and drinks were really delicious. The atmosphere was good although we were a bit early in the evening - I suspect it gets more of a buzz later on. It was quite expensive but good value for the evening we enjoyed.
