The exhibitions are ok but the building itself is an architectural masterpiece with an outstanding landscape integration worth visiting at any cost. Probably the best piece of contemporary architecture I seen In UK with the Tate Museum!
Yep it's OK. Far too clean and hollow for me. I was really expecting something more dynamic and exciting. The views from the windows are rather specific with touches of an Italian piazza as the sun rises over the Caldare. Definitely an experience for your " Bouquet 100".
An unexpected surprise. Tours available on the day included a boat trip which was lovely on a beautiful sunny day. The 2pm Highlights gallery tour is highly recommended. It was informative, accessible and relevant. The guide was knowledge and friendly. Stunning riverside setting and fantastic vistas from within. Well worth a visit.
Lovely day spent at The Hepworth, wonderful gardens and beautiful art work too. Definitely worth a visit.
Beautiful building, great exhibitions and plenty of outdoor space for a good walk- the scenery is stunning
Great day out in picturesque surroundings featuring extensive sculpture and artwork by Barbara Hepworth, David Hockney, Lowry & Christina Quarles. Really striking pieces and narratives of the life story of each artist. Lovely adjoining cafe and shop. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.
A great way to spend a few hours. Entry is free and the setting is exciting. There is a good cafe with a wide selection to choose from.
I'd been wanting to go here for quite a while and whilst some of the sculptures were great the paintings were a little child like.. I may of been missing something but I won't go again. The views from the windows were lovely.
