Great shop in the middle of brighton and hove. Deceptively large and has everything one could want. The staff in here are friendly and knowledgeable and there are more tills here than you can poke a stick at. The self service ones at least, but noone really wants manned tills anyway, too much conversation for my liking.nnAnyway I digress, great shop and good selection of flowers also
Superb customer service! Andrew, who we regularly meet at the fresh meat and fish counter, is always there to help with a smile. A couple of days ago, we were deciding on having ribeye steak for dinner and were lucky to have Andrew serving us. He took little to no time to get us the exact cut and weight we were asking for!nWe know that with all the different shapes and sizes of cuts, it takes real experience to get it right - and Andrew nailed it.nTo our surprise, Andrew caught us in another food aisle with a small special treat on the house. It was absolutely unexpected and incredibly kind of him.nIn this busy world, many of us forget how powerful small acts of kindness can be and this thoughtful gesture truly made our day!nAndrew, thank you so much. You are an amazing person!
This is a long one, here we go!nnThis store is genuinely great! I’ve been shopping here for the past three years and I absolutely love it. The product selection is always impressive. If something seems a bit pricey, there’s usually a more affordable alternative close by, which is really helpful.nnSince the self-checkout machines were introduced, the waiting time has dropped significantly – usually no more than a minute. While you do lose a bit of human interaction, there are still staffed tills available if you prefer speaking to someone. The only drawback with self-checkout is that it doesn’t accept cash, which can be inconvenient for some.nnThe staff are always friendly and helpful, which really adds to the experience. One of the main issues I’ve had is with how often the layout changes. Every month or two it feels like products are moved to completely new locations, which can be frustrating when you’re in a hurry.nnOne thing I really appreciate is that they don’t treat you with suspicion like some other places do. There’s no issue with packing your own bags regardless of your age, which makes the experience feel more respectful and relaxed.nnAnd finally, I have to mention the sushi! It’s freshly made on site, and you can even watch the process. It’s a great touch and the quality is excellent.nnP.S. Back in my country, we actually make sushi a bit differently, and personally, I think it’s even better. We often use Philadelphia cheese in many types of sushi, especially in rolls and maki. It adds a creamy texture that works really well with the other flavours. If you ever get the chance to try it that way, I highly recommend it – it might give you some new ideas!
Large, well resourced store. Very spacious and thoughtfully laid out. Quick service and not too crowded.
