I have used this store since it opened and must say it is a very friendly store the shopping experience is great. Good variety of products different from other stores.nThe staff are always courteous, helpful & friendly.nThe Christmas tasting sessions have been great for trying new food & drink.nThe cafe is nice to meet friends & family for a chat and a bite to eat. Also the front coffee area is a friendly hub too.nI have seen the staff confronted by very impatient rude customers , especially at this time of year, but they have dealt with them in a calm polite way.nTo the person who would not shop in a Waitrose again, the security staff have a hard job everywhere there are a lot of shoplifters around, the staff are just doing their job so don't mind them it isn't personal, unless you are one. I don't find any of them unpleasant.nJust enjoy the shopping experience!
Great store. Just a pity that we do not have a Waitrose in Liverpool. We had the day planned for a walk at Formby beach and woods. Called in here and was very impressed with the quality and selection on offer. We come out this way quite a bit and will now make a visit here every time
Pleasant staff. Cold toast although overall tasty halloumi and avocado on sourdough. Bought a decent breakfast and coffee for £12. Went back for a £1 pastry deal. Denied! Because I had bought the drink 10min earlier before it became clear to me that a pastry was necessary. Unnecessarily petty. C’mon Waitrose!
I have seen the negative reviews of this store. I did NOT experience anything negative on my visit. Staff were pleasant, other shoppers were busily going about their business and I chatted with a lovely lady at the checkout. I got everything I wanted and was happy with my shop. The car park was busy but I got a parking space.
I'm in the area looking after my friends house for the week. The first time I went in the security guard followed me so obviously and made me feel really disrespected so I left without buying anything. I went back yesterday and the same ugly tough guy followed me from one end of the store to the other making me feel quite offended then he stood at the till like some horrible bouncer who likes cracking skulls.nI have been using Waitrose for years but I'll never step foot in one again. I can't believe they allow their customers to be treated like that.
