Pleasant staff but prices are just crazy in the cafe !!!nCharged £7 for a small bowl of porridge !!! extortionate even at Waitrose !!nNice place to sit and free parking for two hours which is a bonus as parking in formby is not easy at all.
It is true to say that I shop here every day and have done so for many years. The food and drink are always exceptional at Waitrose, Formby. So why only 4 stars? Centrally, as there are a few rotten apples amongst the otherwise excellent staff. Maybe 3 or 4 who are really very unpleasant to the point of being abusive and aggressive. These few are far too busy gossiping to be polight and helpful towards customers. It would be wonderful for senior managers to visit this store sometime undercover to spot the staff that are 'far too important' to be helpful.
Always has a pleasant, not too busy, feel. Great selection and always good quality but obviously can be expensive. We try to use self checkout if we can because the tellers seem stuck up - Formby for you.
Never been here before due to not having a local waitrose. Lots of different foods available than the typical supermarket stuff and you can tell its quality aswell. Really enjoyed the celeriac Slaw
I called into the Formby store on the way home from a hospital visit and needed the loo. It was absolutely disgusting, and I mean filthy. I was in urgent need and almost vomited. There was no other option as the gents was out of order and I would of gone in there even though I'm female. Nor was there anyone on the service desk. I could not continue with my shopping the stench was horrible. Several other shoppers also abandoned their shopping
