Enjoyed my shopping in Waitrose. Lovely fresh selection of fruit, vegetables and meat. Reasonably priced. We also enjoyed a delicious cheese and ham panini and tea in the restaurant. A good selection of cakes and sandwiches. It was nice to see a children's food selection.
Large carpark no problem finding a space, child and easy access parking available. Lunch in the restaurant for four people. Disappointed with the portion sizes. The best value was the loaded, sourdough, open sandwich. Toilets off the restaurant, very clean and well stocked, an easy access toilet available.nEnjoyed the shopping, aisles wide without unnecessary offers blocking your way. Well thought out placement of goods, found it easy to follow through one area to the next. Found everything I wanted.nFriendly, helpful staff throughout the store and at the checkout, efficient sums it up.
So disappointed with the variety of Christmas food on the shelves. I buy gift vouchers throughout the year to save for the Christmas shop. There was so little available that was ‘special’ for Christmas. A lot of shelves seemed sparse as if they were awaiting for delivery. We were there on a Friday morning at 9am so would expect shelves to have been re-stocked overnight.nAlso the dates on everything was awful. Most fresh items out of date the next day, even cupboard items such as biscuits and cakes were in date for just a few days and wouldn’t last for Christmas. I left with only half of my Christmas shop complete. Very disappointed.nWill point out that staff were wonderful as always, as was the coffee.
Good selection of food. Attractive fresh bakery products. Reliable error to sell high welfare prepared meat, i.e. cold meat. Good parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice cafe.
Husband was looking for some coffee beans that are currently on offer, unfortunately he couldn’t find any, however there was a member of staff nearby who checked on top of the shelf he then went into the storeroom to see if there was any there. As there wasn’t he offered my husband a complimentary bag of popular alternative coffee beans, service was excellent and Richard went above and beyond to help. Thank you very much Richard your help was much appreciated.
