Called here for a toilet stop whilst travelling to our venue on holiday. The stop became a highlight of that morning with us all enjoying a really super full English, after we picked up plenty from the delicious items in their deli, their coffee was pretty good as well. Certainly a place to visit if your need refreshing.
Helpful and professional staff but the store is managed by incompetent management.nn1 The freezer have been broken since November 2022. It’s beyond utter belief that the only Waitrose store in this part of Cornwall, cannot afford to invest in new fridges. When they do work - they are not stocked at all, see pictures.nn2 Why would you start picking for home shopping and start filling shelves at the same time at circa 8:30am? Meats isle is absolute choc a block every morning with staff refilling shelves and pickers trying to get stuff. Where is the management?? Why is this not thought through?nn3 Why did you remove hand cleaning station at the beginning of the store? Sainsbury’s and Tesco still have them.nnPlease for the love of god - find a new store manager.
Not huge but has the everyday items we need when self catering on holiday. Ready meals are excellent quality and so a little more expensive than JS or Tesco.nnThe Great Cornish Food outlet next to it is as you’d expect in terms of price but has a good range of foods, drink and some other produce and products
Terrible parking, bright and narrow isles, overpriced and normal quality goods. Cornish side is good especially the bacon actually dry cured generally great butcher, with the pain.
At midday there were several lunch items off the menu in the cafe, made do with a mediocre coffee and cake. There seemed to be a shortage of staff as the tables although cleared hadn’t been cleaned.nI thought the standards have definitely gone down.
