The quality and selection of food is fantastic, the only downside was that I felt the staff were a touch standoffish, it may be old fashioned of me but I remember when the service here used to be warm and friendly. Nowadays it always feels like you're a pest for asking questions or that they're just trying to move you on as quickly as possible
I had a really disappointing experience at Waitrose today. I tried to purchase a Purdey’s natural energy apple and grape sparkling drink with my lunch, but I was refused service because I didn’t have ID on me.nnI’m 29 years old and was simply on my lunch break as an NHS worker, hoping to quickly grab something to eat and drink. I understand that staff need to follow policies, but this felt excessive for a non-alcoholic beverage like this. A bit of common sense and discretion would have gone a long way.nnI would hope in future that staff are better trained to apply policies more reasonably and with some consideration for customers as I’ve had more reasonable interactions with a barcode scanner.
Waitrose Otley - can only park for 1hr 30, not long enough to shopand deffo not long enough to stop for a coffee. Waitrose website makes it clear that they will not assist with parking tickets. Supposed to be a sign actually on or attached to the shop but was none. Cannot recommend unless you are only picking up a few items or are Speedy Gonzales
Good shop - friendly staff and good layout. Plenty of parking but exiting car park bit confusing due to odd layout. Waitrose food & quality top notch.
This review is for the cafe.nnI was in the queue for 20 minutes, even though there was only 3 people ahead of me who ordered coffee hot food is brought to your table when its readynnMy cheese toastie cost £6.50 and was soggy and microwaved. I understand they're pre-made but why not just put it in a pannini maker?
