This store is fantastic. It has a lovely carpark. It is clear and clean and well layed out for ease of exploring and gathering items. The atmosphere is happy and upbeat. The staff are warm and have a friendly, caring vibe. A lovely Waitrose, would recommend for stress free, enjoyable shopping
A lot of the staff are very rude to customers. Unfriendly, sighing at customers and acting like the customers are burdening them when asking for help. I see this on a daily basis. Rude and bad customer service. Good manners and good customer service go a long way - Waitrose in portswood need to retrain their staff

I have just used self-service. The lady named Tina serving there is very insolent patronising and absurd. She presumed and accused me of not entering the product without looking at the screen. She was wrong and not apologetic at all but laughing at the situation making a jokes. Then she tried to enter products twice when I explained that her work colleague did it for me already, she insisted again without checking the screen. I need to stress it was not a case of re-scan. It was Tina with her bad customer service skills and inappropriate approach. Ridiculous. Such a great store however customer service like this just awful. Shame
Went to buy some cat litter and as I walked down the aisle a security dude followed me and then tried to hide when I caught them. Literally only walked into store directly to pet aisle and that was enough to be suspicious apparently.
Went into Waitrose and bought a couple of lovely things for tea tonight & tomorrow. So far so good. On my way out I went to the desk to pick up a John Lewis order, which I'd already requested was ready using the handy 'ill be there in 15 mins' option. No-one was there, no problem I'm sure they're busy so as directed I pressed the button so someone would know I was waiting at the desk. Helpful guy came along and quickly handed me the 2 small packets in my order after doing the usual checks. 5 stars so far. Then just as I was leaving the store I'm called over by a member of staff who I assume would probably be on the desk, and who appeared bothered that I had the packets and presumably thought I'd helped myself!!! I answered each question - who did I get them from? - did they scan them out correctly? - as she hadn't done so etc. - so she scanned them again and - they had been correctly scanned! Rather embarrassing end to a successful experience especially as it was in full view of shoppers entering and leaving the store. Could & should have been handled better and with much less fuss.
I like the fresh beef, steak, fish, scone and cake a lot. Always in high quality. The price a little bit higher than other shops. The bargain items always occurred at evening time.
The product were brilliant and the staff were very polite and helpful. The experience of shopping was good and thanks you Waitrose !!
A smaller store, it has an ok selection however if you can you may be better off going to Chandler Ford, or Locks Heath for a bigger selection.
The staff was amazing! I lost my bag, they were kind enough to help me find it
