Not your average Mexican! Loved the food here and the service. A really different take on the standard fare but be careful! Some are super hot! tThe only one I didn't like was the cheese balls. Didn't quite like the texture but all good apart from that.
Came in by accident and didn't expect much the restaurant looked understaffed. However, the food was delicious, the cocktails were really nice and the service was welcoming and quick! We had a real great experience
Delicious Mexican themed food, the pork pibil tacos are amazing. We got one of the set menus and it was a great option to trying out many dishes. Definitely will be back. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options
Absolutely amazing Mexican food in the heart of Edinburgh. The waiter was very helpful and attentive. The guacamole is a must, very fresh. We had a selection of tacos and quesadillas, all very tasty… Spicy margaritas are savage!
Nice menu with good vegetarian and vegan options. The sauces could be given for free. They suggest 3-4 small plates but 2/person were sufficient for us. In the drinks, I'd recommend the strawberry daiquiri and the hibiscus tequila cocktail. Enzo did an amazing job with the service and he was very attentive. Well maintainet bathrooms.
Amazing food, great menu with a wide range of dishes. Excellent portion sizes and outstanding service from everyone we encountered. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5
Brilliant experience here, they were so good with my wife allergies and made sure everything was taken care of. Food was great as well the drinks, the atmosphere really caught a good Mexican vibe with the music playing in the background. I will definitely be back.
Wahaca has become one of our fav spots in Edinburgh. We went twice and had and did pick up a tasting menu to enjoy at home once. We picked the "FAVOURITES" for two each time, and we loved it. The food is delicious, creative, spicy, different and full of flavours. The Favourites include Pork pibil tacos, Buttermilk chicken tacos, Trealy Farm chorizo quesadilla, Grilled 'halloumi Al Pastor' tacos, Devon crab & avocado tostadas, crispy cauliflower bites, Chargrilled broccoli. We did pay £44 for the food for two. We also tried a few desserts, non-alcoholic cocktails AND hot chocolate - which is to die for. It's made from Peruvian raw cacao, and it's nothing like regular hot cacao. Strong, not sweet, rich flavour. I'll probably pop around just for this one on cold afternoons. We love the chef's creativity. The restaurant is spacious, calm with a great atmosphere. We will come back for the food without any doubt. I highly recommend this place. Don't forget to book in advance as it is often fully booked.
Normally reliable, but was weirdly disorganised and frantic on our last visit. I was mischarged for food because of the weird online payment system. Our food was a bit sub par. We bought two virgin mojitos, and they gave my friend who is Muslim so cannot drink a regular one- it wasn’t until he had taken a sip that the waiter rushed over and said he had accidentally given us an alcoholic one. Just weird! The dishes were tasty though, apart from one which tasted like swimming pool water. There was also a lot of grime on the table and a hair on the plate.
We had Wahaca colada and passionfruit margarita for drink. Not big fan of passion fruit -so didn't like that much, but Wahaca colada was good. We also tried Tequila experience -3 shots of different types of tequila. For main course- we tried there Favourites set menu- which had variety of dishes from there menu. Food was good and location also good. It was crowded, but we had already pre booked table.
