Used to be our families favourite place. Last few times we were in was the worst service. Last week we were dining. The service was so bad and no apologies. Forgetting things that have been ordered. Coming to the table after 30 minutes cancelling food items saying can't be served. We won't be back. Came out very unsatisfied.
My family went here for my Sister's birthday. To be Frank I wasn't too impressed. The food was nice but not what we would call restaurant quality more like a good take away quality which it was as well, which was a problem in itself. Food. Firstly food was tasty but again not the normal restaurant quality. If you were at home you would say it was a great take away but to eat in you would expect a proper Chinese restaurant experience. My Sister's beef curry had no veg bar onions, which it was swimming with. My salt and chilli chicken was a bit overdone so it was a bit too crispy and not soft at all. However it was lovely. My Niece ordered the vegetarian chow mein and it arrived with beef in it. Service. This is were it really fell down. We arrived 10 minutes early for our 5pm booking. The restaurant wasn't open yet and the waitress didn't seem pleased to let us in. It too an inordinate amount of time to take our orders. Firstly they didn't have any prawns for sesame prawn toast so I tried to order spring rolls and was told that I couldn't order of the two different menus, which was the early bird and the A La Carte. Our main course arrived exactly two hours after we arrived byt which point we were starving! There was no water on the table and we had to ask for it. One waitress appeared with a small glass of water the other finally came with a jug and glasses. Take Away. We didn't realise that they did take away as well. The phone rang incessantly which wasn't always answered so the entire time we were there the phone was constantly ringing which didn't make for a relaxing meal. Secondly they allowed people to ring in their takeaway order and then come and collect it. This meant that whilst we were trying to eat our meal there were people behind us queuing for their order. Again not very relaxing. Overall the food was decent enough, it was reasonable too but we won't be back to eat here. It just wasn't what we were expecting.
Highly disappointed not as good as used to be to expensive for quality of food seem to concentrate on take away poor portions waited over an hour for starters!! Main course below average £2.50 for small bottles of water !!! Phone constantly ringing could not wait to leave !!!
Couldn't fault this restaurant. Excellent staff, excellent food and very reasonably priced. The menu is quite extensive with loads to choose from. Look forward to returningFood: 5/5
The prawn Foo Yung is amazing...the best I've ever eaten. Cooked to perfection and so fresh.
Not a bad place for a Chinese but there are much better options out there, although they do offer a good three-course meal deal for £13.95 and the restaurant is clean and comfortable
Disappointed with service tonight and of late. Not ideal having to wait on food after being told a specific time to show up for collection. This needs to be improvedFood: 3/5
Very poor ordered a chicken curry half chip half rice chicken was chewey horrible chips were to crispy was a waste threw in bin with the cost of living I will never order out of here again an was cold an 5 10 mins away very poor
Great food and a great price especially the lunch time special
