One of the best restaurants that serves chicken Katsu curry. I also ordered the chili squid as a starter and it was great as well. The staff are friendly and they passed to ask if everything was good.
I visited Wagamama in the Metro Centre on 7th May 2022, it was my first time in any Wagamama despite several attempts to get there, it was a Child free weekend so we thought we would take the opportunity and give it a whirl. While lining up to get into the restaurant a man was handing out menus and took the time to speak to us, on being told that it was out first time there, he made several suggestions for first timers and happily spent time talking to us, it transpires that this Gent was actually the restaurant Manager we discovered later. After only a few minute wait, we were seated and introduced to our Waiter, a nice Guy named Jack. Jack was also aware that we were first time customers and again was happy to offer advice on the menu items and also, crucially, the portion sizes. Drinks arriving quickly with the food following soon after with Jack making sure that the food arrived quickly. We followed the previous advice and ordered Duck Donburi and Chicken Teriyaki Donburi as well as the Hoisin Duck Buns as a side order. The food was incredible.....we both ate every last scrap and left the restaurant full. We then had a quick chat with the Manager who took time to re-visit our table to find out, as first time customers, what we'd ordered, what we'd thought of the food and also the service. Thankfully I was able to give him great feedback. the food, Jack who served us, everything had been 100% perfect and also confirmed with him that we would happily return to his restaurant. In fact, not 6 days later, we are already making plans to do so, the meal was THAT good. To sum up, I would and will, happily return. The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly and the Manager seemed to take a real interest in new customers and their experience which is always a good sign. Thanks Jack and all the Team who dealt with us on our first meal there.....we will be back.
So we were made to queue outside for 15 minutes even though there were plenty of seats upstairs. Once we were seated our waitress turned up and took our drinks order, then took them to the wrong table, we ordered food which all came out at different times and I had finished mine before my daughters turned up. My katsu salad was a joke! A very thin bit of dry chicken thinly sliced to make it look like there was actually a decent amount and the salad was bland with a tiny pot of sauce tk cover it. Now the drinks,OMG tiny the regular latte could be drunk in one mouthful and the large in two as they were both cold.
Popped in for an impromptu lunch while shopping. Arrived around 12:05 and were seated quickly. A small queue was building up after us though. Food was good. Tried some options I've not had before. I had a chicken donburi and my wife had the duck donburi. Very tasty. Kid-friendliness: There were kids in the restaurant and seemed to be enjoying their food. Parking: Lots of parking in the metro centre car parks. Yellow car park is closest for this restaurant.
I though the food was nice here, the staff were friendly enough. I was advised you could pay from the table but didn't realise you have to use a QR code as the apps available on app store for Waga aren't UK ones. I just thought the prices were rather high for the experience, especially the drinks. The meal I got tasted just like a Kimchi from Costco which isn't a bad thing I guess!, the chicken was nice and tender. Been meaning to try this place for a while, but I'm afraid I'll be going for more bang for my buck in future.
The food was excellent and the menu has enough choices to try. Exceptional and friendly staff the food was fresh and delicious all in all a very pleasant meal
First time me and the teenager have been. Been wanting to try for years but I'm a picky eater. So as teenagers do I got teesed in to going. And you know what. I loved It. You can tell which of the dishes was mine. But it was lush and a totally morish. One dish of this and was stuffed. The price is OK. If I took the whole brood ther either would be costly. But for 1 or 2 people it's managble. Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian and vegan available
First time here. Loved it! Great menu, even has LOTS of vegan options. Friendly staff and swift service. Hopefully I'll be back Vegetarian options: Vegan options available
Staff were nice and friendly however the main meal, the chicken Katsu, wasn’t that great - sauce was a bit dry and not enough of it. I would most likely come here again but to try something else.
Great food and service and very allergy aware. The shirodashi pork belly ramen is delicious and Asahi beer brings back fond memories of Japan. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu, crayons and colouring and kids chop sticks supplied.
