Wafi Restaurant and Lounge in Newcastle upon Tyne is a fantastic dining experience with exceptional taste and great value for money. The host was welcoming, and the chefs were genuinely appreciative of feedback. It’s easy to overlook, but let’s remember to thank the chefs for preparing such an amazing meal! Let’s not forget absolutely stunning location and the atmosphere and the ambience next to none!
We have been to wafi a week a go for the Palestinian breakfast which was amazing and great value for money, the best falafel ever. And today we ordered food in work we had the £10 munch boxes which was great too. Everyone loved their food the ones who had the chicken or the lamb Vegetarian options: The falafel is out of this world as well as the za’tar pastry.
First visits, good selection of food served hot but a little slow in taking our order and receiving food, however we were early being just after 5pm and not all the staff had arrived. Enjoyed the food and would have no hesitation in returning. ThanksFood: 5/5

My first visit to this restaurant was with some work colleagues and I loved it. I've since returned with my dad, sister and family and again tonight with my husband and daughter. Each time it's been fab. The food is great, super tasty and the staff are lovely, friendly and accomldating. Our waitress Hannah was just lovely, warm, friendly, kind and attentive. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much x
Everything was good, except the wash Ròom just one star. The little girl at the first floor was nice and friendly. I monitored she was greeting everyone with a Smile. Five stars for service is actually for her. Salad was tasting vinegar and I don't like that taste at all.Food: 4/5
Lovely and welcoming restaurant. I was helped by Sam, I ordered my favourite dish ,the Lamb Biryani, which was the best I have ever eaten. Cocktails were delicious and the overall service could not be better. Brilliant hospitality and attentiveness from all staff!Food: 5/5
1st time here food was lovely until found a hair in my chips waitress came over she took it away to show manager and came back to offer me free chips which I declined and also my plate was chipped. It was clean and tidy service was ok but doubt I be backFood: 4/5
Not my first visit, certainly not my last. Great place to eat, good food choices, nice atmosphere, hard working staff. Special mention to our waitress Jasmina as she was constantly running around serving, being attentive and good fun. Vegetarian options: In my experience, vegetarians are not always catered for in many restaurants, however, here they are. The veggie platter is whatever the chef decides to include, so can be random, filling and full of flavour. Each time I order this, it has been different, never boring.
The food here is of the highest quality, though it seemed to more succulent a little while ago. I wonder if they have changed their suppliers. Still, a good scoff for all.Food: 4/5
