Lovely visit. Prepare for hills when walking but there are buses to help if needed. Lovely gardens and the house is wonderful. Takes a good while to do the house, the rooms are beautiful, and the decoration maintained. The stables have a good coffee shop as well.
By far the most beautiful mansion I have ever seen in the UK. It is by far better than Windsor castle. With affordable parking a lot of parks and serious history. Worth every single penny! So much French history, so much history of Hebrew people...
Had a fantastic walk around the Windmill Hill circular walk, well signed and mostly tarmac paths. One section is a track and another is a field path. Dog permitted on leads. Approximately 1 hour walk.
Waddesdon Manor is a must visit full of historic art and a quotes from The Rothschild Family here you can see how in 1800 and 1900 how the upper circle of societies lived and entertained It will take you the entire day to see the whole estate from the Gardens to the Stunning Manor Perfect day out for the whole family and if you become a National Trust member you can visit as many times as you like
We love this place. Car park is accesable and not muddy. There is a coach to transport you up to the house from the car park, or you can walk. Dog friendly no dogs in the house. Lots to do. If you are National trust member, its free except specail events such as Christmas. The ticket price is reduced then. I paid around £5 for the house and gardens then.
Really enjoyed visiting this place. Lots of different elements to it to explore. The aviary is fascinating and well worth a visit. We went for the Christmas lights walk and Christmas market, both of which were lovely! The walk from the car park was really straightforward for two relatively fit 32yr olds. It gets a tad steep but certainly nothing to worry about and plenty of elderly people and buggies comfortably making the trip! We visited before dark and the Christmas light walk was still stunning. Brilliant stalls in the market too.
Good car park and nice that it is away from the Manor which is much better than when cars were parked everywhere. Toilets available and also a shuttle bus to drive you up if you feel the walk is too far.
Walked up to the house, but via the road, which is quieter over busy weekends. Enjoyed the amble up and back with my children. No need for playground, they were tired by the time we were back at the car
Visited for christmas lights and events . Christmas lights were fantastic ,christmas Market not as good as last year as it was mainly food and drink but a pleasant to stroll around . Partial house open with some beautiful christmas trees . A great start to christmas .
Well organized parking and shuttles. Entrance pricing is getting to be outrageous. Unsurprisingly attendance at the Christmas lights and attractions was very sparse.
