I went here for foreign currency.They also refund full value if you sell back your currency that is after you inform Customer Care.This is what I did.Only trouble is they said they would contact me for the difference but that was a week ago and I am still waiting for a response !!!!!!!!

Id give W H smith 1 simply because my cash is no longer good enough, only accepting card payments. Goods left in store shopped elseware

Always go there great books magazines post office inside nice staff

Good store and post office

Newsagent, stationer and bookshop. Decent range of magazines and cards but not the most extensive range of books and much more limited in the other lines they stock since turning over a large part of the store to a post office. Service can be a bit slow but they do have self-service checkouts. Not great but not bad either.

Went in to by a paper , took me a while to find them , then I went to the counter to pay the person behind the counter  who wasn't serving anyone else directed me to the self service machine.  For God's sake I'm 63 & a technophobe ! Why couldn't just take my money & give me the change ? The Lady did help me negotiate the self service machine but what's wrong with a bit of old fashioned service at the counter

I called  into the post office to post a parcel and was told I could not buy a posting box or bag there, I had to buy this at the WHSmith desk at the other end of the store. I duly did this, went back to post my parcel and was told the post office was shut. When I challenged this this a very helpful member of staff did stay and help me post the item. This is though a ridiculous system and dreadful customer service

Reasonable range of products, looking for pens and markers today, but quite pricy when theres a Pound land 2 doors down. And it always feels like no one ever tidies up. As if the staff can't be bothered to put products back where they should be at the end of the day. Just messy, untidy, uncared for. Needs a proper clean and sort out. Thankfully this is a review of Smiths. Don't get me started on the Post Office! Jeez...

Would avoid, unless absolutely necessary. Which, as there is a Post Office within, is hard to do so.  If you're going for the Post Office - you will have a trouble-free experience, as the process is usually quick with lots of friendly staff.  Though be prepared to battle your way past annoying sales staff flogging anything from broadband to TV services, on your way in AND on your way out.  This WHSmiths has a long legacy of allowing this practice. I don’t know anyone who enjoys being hassled on the way in. It is annoying and I can’t believe WHSmiths allows it.

Really only go there to use the post office since it has moved there. The post office section has not much queuing room and only a couple if chairs for elderly and disabled customers. There also is a queue and not a ticket system, so said customers have to wait in line
