The cinema itself is well situated and accessible, the seating and screens are great. However the expense of tickets and the extortionate price of sweets and drinks etc makes an outing to Vue a rare treat, especially for families. It would make a lot of sense reducing sweets and drinks etc to the price in the average shop, as more people and families could afford to go more often, thus gaining Vue more revenue through ticket sales - the whole point of going to a cinema

Decent cinema.. Comfortable seating with option of 'VIP' seating which has a little more room. Can book tickets online or but on site. If bought online, ticket collection machine in lobby. If disabled, call ahead to ask if film shown on bottom floor or if lift is working. Lift has been out of order on last 2 visits. Friendly staff. Toilets on both floors. Concession stand with ticket sales.

This cinema is showing its age now, chairs in most screens are either broken, ripped or not affixed properly meaning you can sway on them. There are 8 screens, 4 small and 4 large with each having a designated VIP section. This is the only cinema in Carlisle therefore they have no need to refurbish as there's no competition. As is in most multiplex's prices of drink and food are way too expensive. Sadly this is all we have so the people of Carlisle have to put up with it.

Most ignorant manager I have ever met, When we complained of the cold in the cinema, he explained everything was centrally controlled from Head Office and when we asked if anything could be done he just said he did not have time for this and walked off. I called him back saying he was been very rude to which he said he did not have the time to deal with this or to be spoken to in such a manner. Generally the staff are very good.

Comfy seats, especially if you upgrade for £1.50. Good surround sound.
