Extremely disappointed with the live viewing experience – no apology, no accountabilitynnOn May 31st, I attended the J-Hope On The Stage - Live Viewing at this cinema. The show was scheduled to start at 12:00 PM, but for 25 minutes there was absolutely no screen, no image, and not even any trailers. I initially thought perhaps there was a delay due to it being a live event.nnHowever, when a staff member finally came in to check, we were told there was a technical issue with the screen. I paid £18 per ticket, which is more expensive than usual, and spent around £36 in total for both me and my daughter.nnBecause of this delay, we completely missed the opening song, which is one of the most exciting parts of the concert. I had looked forward to this event for so long, but the cinema acted as if nothing had happened. No explanation, no apology, even after the screening ended.nnAs a J-Hope fan, it was incredibly frustrating and disappointing to miss the opening moment, and it made it hard to enjoy the rest of the concert experience.nnI strongly advise others to avoid attending any live screenings at this cinema. Technical issues like this can leave you with regret and ruin an experience you were genuinely looking forward to.
Massive queues to get popcorn before the movie.nThe self-order machines were out of action and only 3 staff were behind the tills trying to serve over 100 people.nWe had to queue up for 25 mins. Only to find a the soft drink machines were out of order and b there were not even any bottles of still water available.nSo walked away with only popcorn. Which was so salty, it was genuinely unpleasant.nnPaid for Lux seats and the seats themselves were comfy enough with a swivel tray for drinks etc. This was Screen 10.nnI noticed during certain scenes the screen had what appeared to be a crack/tear/line at the top towards the left.nThe sound was loud enough, but the quality of the sound was a bit on the harsh side and not as impressive as expected. My fairly budget home sound system honestly sounds better.nnI probably won't be revisiting unless things improve. Though I'm not sure how I'll find out if/when they have improved
My family and I went to see Mission Impossible. Brilliant movie shame about the cinema. Concessions were heaving when we arrived, long queues and only three people serving.. Given it was anBank Holiday poorly management to not stsff for expected crowds especially given the new movies showing. All we wanted was some diet cokes but when we finally got to the front I was told all they had was full fat coke, no freestyle, no diet drinks. I said it would have been helpful to have a sign up so we could have gone elsewhere now it was too late. The young women serving was completely uninterested and simply asked if i wanted coke like a robot. Seats and space are good and sound ok, some parts were too loud. Was cold throughout as think I was in a cold spot. Overall not a good experience, at least we saved some money. It needs some loving care and some natural light to cheer it up upstairs, always a bit miserable and poor use of space, wish they would do it up, especially the toilets which often stink.
Probably the worst cinema I’ve been to. Dirty, messy, rude staff and very poorly run.nnYou have to purchase your ticket at the entrance now. Despite asking if the cinema was busy, I have to wait in a queue for 30min to get my food I ordered. Missed the start of the film.nnNachos were stale and drenched in horrible cheese sauce.nnI then had to go and get them changed as they were not edible only to wait another 25 min in the queue.nnStaff are super rude and have an attitude problemnnI really think the health inspector should come and have a look at this place. It’s totally disgusting.
No staff. One person checking and selling tickets downstairs. Even if you have tickets had to wait. 3 people upstairs in food area servicing everyone with at least 2-3 shows starting around 7 pm.nnMachines all off ques with 30+ people.nManager comes randomly running late from a break possibly starts scanning tickets with people at the back of queue.nnMngt need some work and training. Level of staffing poor attitude rude.
