Came to the cinema today and it’s been ridiculous in my experience. Saved myself time and bought my tickets online to be told I can’t go upstairs until I show my ticket to the lady who’s serving tickets at the desk… defeats the point in buying in advance. She said because they’re short staffed, it’s during the week and it’s quieter… ultimately it made me late to the movie. Someone upstairs otherwise usually checks the tickets but due to staffing this person wasn’t in either.nNext we ordered drinks, my husband always gets a mix of orange and blue raspberry tango iced blast which he has to say manually as this is never option on the screen. Then of course we get to the front of the queue and there’s no orange.. surely this could’ve been updated on the kiosks.nNext, finally sat down for my film w popcorn and drink and the popcorn is stale.nAbsolutely poor experience here at vue, gone down hill lots since even January. Disappointed and annoyed.
DO NOT BUY FOOD.nnThey marketed loaded nachos for £7.50!!!!! Naturally, seems like a good cinema snack. But they served us warmed up Doritos, a cheese sauce and some chopped guacamole. It sucked and to charge £7.50 was ridiculous.nnCinema seats itself were fine and good value for money … ironic lol
I've been coming here for years, but I will now be going elsewhere. Monday 29th July I attended and was disappointed by the lack of experienced staff, the cleanliness and the general feel of the cinema.nnThe toilets were dirty with the men's having discarded beer cans and other unpleasantries.nnThe queue for the drinks kiosk was nearly at the escalators, being run by one young person for the majority of the time; and even when our film finished the queue was still busy.nnThe prices are also ludicrous so I encourage anyone visiting to go to LIDL first to save yourself money and long waiting time.nnThe stairs on the way down to the exit were dirty and dull, which really summed up the overall venue.nnUpon exiting their young security “guard” was outside smoking and chatting to friends leaving the overall image of the venue very disappointing.nnIt’s clearly lacking management and employees.nnUntil I hear more positive reviews of this place I will not be returning.
It gets one star because I can't leave zero stars. This cinema is the grubbiest I've seen for 40 years. We ignored our ticketed seats as they were filthy and we had to check several aisles before we found 2 clean seats next to each other. Admittedly the previous cinema goers made no attempt to remove their litter but nor did the staff. There was popcorn and spilt drinks everywhere and some seats were badly stained. For the duration of the film I didn't rest my head back on the seat for fear of catching lice. A truly horrible cinema that we will never visit again.
I am clearly older than 15 and didn’t get let in for a marvel movie even after showing ID. Spoke to the manager and none of the workers had any sign of management training. Gave us ‘complementary tickets’ for any Vue cinema as an apology. However, this was a waste of time driving all the way to Staines after paying £20 for premium tickets only to be sent away after not bringing ID. Apparently they ask EVERYONE for ID, odd odd cinema. Problems here in the past aswell, do not recommend. If you want to watch a film, go to Odeon cinema or anywhere but this branch of Vue.
