I went to Ginni about two months ago. I wanted a spiral perm, she advised me that I could not have it permed at the time as the condition of my hair was bad but she advised me to have a few treatments and that would get my hair ready for a perm. I had two treatments, which were not cheap and I bought all the necessary products, from her, to maintain my hair at home. On Tuesday Ginni said my hair was now ready for a perm so I went ahead and she done the spiral perm. Omg my hair is now a total mess, there are no curles, it feels like straw and looks like dreadlocks. I’m so upset. I went back to Ginni and she was so bloody rude, she told me that she advised me not to perm it in the beginning because this would happen. Yes I agreed but you then said after the treatments it would be fine so why are you telling me lies. Ginni was so rude and arrogant about the entire issue. She just told me WELL IM NOT PERMING IT AGAIN. She then offered to straighten my hair but told me it would not be completely straight. I went home and thought about everything and decided not to go ahead with further chemical damage. I telephoned her but someone else answered so I explained that I would not be attending the straightening appointment but I would be grateful if Ginni could call me back so that we could discuss me having some free treatments to get my hair into condition otherwise I would like my £85 back. I’m still waiting a call fro Ginni. I’m not a argumentative type of person but I will take this matter further. I think she has treated me in a very conniving way as she was the one who said my hair was ready for the perm. I thought to myself when she was doing the perm that she was using the wrong curlers for a spiral perm. She was using the small perm curlers which are used to do a Afro type perm.

I asked for a 'trim' and the woman looked confused that I didn't want to use the clippers instead. She took far too much off. Not impressed.

I was given a great cut by Ginny and some helpful advice on how to maintain the style. The hair washing was also lovely - like getting a proper head massage! Great price too. Will be visiting again!

The hairdressers I've had were very friendly and were not phased by my BSL interpreter. However, First time I went the hair dresser cut my hair way to short. Second time was the best experience, fantastic hairdresser, she took her time to cut the style I wanted and matched the picture perfectly. Third time, I was let down. Wanted silver and purple hair which turned out lilac and white because my hair wasn't bleached enough. Ended up being a fortune totalling up to £120. (I have been offered a free colouring session.) Also when calling to book my appointment through a text relay service (i am profoundly deaf with cochlear implants) the lady was very patronising saying i "need to bring a friend to communicate..." several times. There are many ways to communicate other than British sign language, so i did not appreciate the attitude.

Been coming here for years. I first came when my hair was in a shocking state. Ginny the owner sorted it out with lots of time and patience. Would definitely recommend.
